Hogwarts Legacyhas a number of memorable quests and story moments that make the magical adventure as fun and exciting as it is. From the main questline to Sebastian Sallow’s series of side quests, there are plenty of great stories to get stuck into inHogwarts Legacy. However, not all of these are completely wrapped up inHogwarts Legacy, leaving them open for a potential sequel.

Warning: The following article contains spoilers for Hogwarts Legacy.Luckily, Warner Bros. announced itsplans forHogwarts Legacy 2, ensuring that fans have a future installment to look forward to. Naturally, all ofthese unresolved stories suddenly become options for quests within theHogwarts Legacysequel. While some story moments are probably best left behind, there are many that deserve to be carried over intoHogwarts Legacy 2.

10The Consequences Of Professor Fig’s Death

How The School Is Affected By His Death

Professor Fig is one of the best characters inHogwarts Legacy, proving to be a kindly mentor to the player, and a helpful guide through the tumultuous world of ancient magic. Unfortunately, duringHogwarts Legacy’sexciting ending,Professor Fig is killed after helping the player defeat the deadly villain Ranrok. This culminates in a rather somber scene in which everyone gathers in the Great Hall to commemorate his passing.

However, a sequel toHogwarts Legacycould explore the consequences of Professor Fig’s death in greater detail. Considering the impact he had on the player, it would likely cause a substantial amount of grief, which could culminate in a longing for forbidden magic to bring him back to life. Or, to a less extreme extent,Hogwarts Legacy 2could explore how the protagonist feels responsible for Fig’s death or feels guilt at being unable to save him.

9The Player’s Path To Evil

What Happens If The Player Absorbs The Ancient Magic

It becomes clear throughout the events ofHogwarts Legacythat ancient magic will corrupt those who attempt to use it, sending them down a dark path.Hogwarts Legacy’sancient magic is deadly, and can even kill people. So, it’s understandable that those who want to roleplay a “good” character will reject the ancient magic at the end of the game. However, for those who prefer to play an evil character, there is the option to absorb it and keep it all.

Unfortunately, the consequences of this choice aren’t explored inHogwarts Legacy, as the decision to absorb it all or not comes at the very end. So, it will be up to the sequel to explore exactly what happens. Of course,it would be far more interesting if the sequel made the evil ending the canonical one, and dealt with the player having too much power. Perhaps the protagonist from the first game could become the antagonist of the sequel.

8The Player Learning The Dark Arts

The Consequences Of Learning The Most Dangerous Spells

Seemingly, one of thebiggest choices inHogwarts Legacyis whether to learn the Dark Arts or not. However, in reality, there are no negative consequences for learning these spells, despite them being historically frowned upon - to say the least - within the wizarding world. Players can go around killing other people with Avada Kedavra and all they’ll get is the occasional telling-off from a companion, if they happen to have one with them.

Hogwarts Legacy 2should explore this choice in far greater detail, taking a look at what learning these spells could do to a person, and how they can only ever be used for evil. It’s a big choice to make and should therefore be treated as such. Simply having it as a fun option robs it of its narrative and philosophical weight, which is a shame.

7Running The Shop With Penny

Giving Players The Opportunity To Run A Successful Shop

One of the bestHogwarts Legacyside quests is “Minding Your Own Business”. It saw players go through a fairly perilous ordeal in the hopes of owning their own shop in Hogsmeade. If they succeeded in completing the mission, they not only got ownership of the shop, but its House Elf Penny too. Fortunately, players could free Penny and run the shop together.

The “Minding Your Own Business” side quest originally started out as a PlayStation-exclusive mission. However, it was thankfully later opened up to every platform, meaning that everyone would understand its inclusion in a sequel.

It would be fun to return to this questline inHogwarts Legacy 2and see how successful the player’s shop turned out to be.Perhaps it could be a storyline for a side quest in which the player has to save their failing businessor one in which they hand it completely over to Penny. Either way, exploring Penny’s story more as well as the fate of the shop would be a lot of fun.

6Returning To Azkaban

It Needs To Be Explored In Greater Detail

Some players may never have experienced Azkaban inHogwarts Legacy, as there is onlyone way to get there. However, even those who have visited it will likely feel it was a bit disappointing, as it is barely explorable and only features in one quest for around five minutes. Of course, those brief moments in the terrifying prison were enough to make players want more.

The ability to return to Azkaban in the sequel would be great, especially if all players got to visit it and not just those who pick a certain House. While the entire prison doesn’t need to be explorable, it would be interesting to see it in more detail as well as the prisoners locked up there. Perhaps players could head there to visit Sebastian, or even the main protagonist, if the evil ending is made canon.

5Ominis Gaunt’s Backstory

He Has A Fascinating Past

One ofHogwarts Legacy 2’smost obvious storylinesis exploring Ominis Gaunt’s backstory and family. While it is delved into a little during the events of Sebastian Sallow’s series of side quests, it isn’t prominently discussed. This is a genuine shame, asOminis Gaunt is easily one of the most interesting characters in the entire game, and his connections with futureHarry Pottercharacters is intriguing, to say the least.

Hogwarts Legacy 2’s Story Will Coordinate With The New Harry Potter Show, But That Doesn’t Make Any Sense

The sequel to Hogwarts Legacy may tie in closer to the original Harry Potter story, according to Warner Bros execs, but that may not be a good thing.

Fortunately, aHogwarts Legacysequel could explore his character in greater depth, delving deeper into his past and his future. It would be interesting to see how Ominis came to be as respectful of non-pure bloods as he is and why he rejects his family’s ideals.Hogwarts Legacy 2should absolutely make Ominis one of the central companion characters, potentially even giving him Sebastian’s slot.

4The Companion Character’s Futures

What Happens To Natsai And Poppy

WhileHogwarts Legacydidn’t put as much importance on the idea of companion characters as theMass Effectgames do, it had a handful of important side characters for players to engage with. The most notable of these side characters was Sebastian, although his whole storyline deserves its own section. However, the two other main side characters were Natsai Onai and Poppy Sweeting, both of whom have fascinating questlines.

Hogwarts Legacy 2should focus on these characters and what happens to them in the future, as well as how they dealt with the traumatic events of the first game.It should also include other minor characters, such as Garreth Weasley and Amit Thakkar, as they play an important role in the protagonist’s school life. Becoming closer to these characters and potentially forming a solid friendship group would be a great addition to theHogwarts Legacysequel.

3The Consequences Of Sebastian Sallow’s Actions

What Happens After He Kills His Uncle

Theconsequences of Sebastian’s actionsinHogwarts Legacyare extremely dark and sad, especially if players choose to turn him in. Much like a lot ofHogwarts Legacy’sendings, there isn’t a proper resolution to Sebastian’s story, leaving it open for the sequel to properly explore. Considering he became a fan favorite character, it makes sense thatHogwarts Legacy 2would explore his story more.

The sequel could focus on Sebastian struggling to contend with his actions and the potentially dark path that sets him down, especially now that his sister and best friend have abandoned him.

One option is to have Sebastian go to Azkaban and have the player visit him. While it wouldn’t leave much room for him to interact with the player, it would be an interesting conclusion to his story and a good way of getting the player to Azkaban. Alternatively, the sequel could focus on Sebastian struggling to contend with his actionsand the potentially dark path that sets him down, especially now that his sister and best friend have abandoned him.

2The Townsfolk Of Hogsmeade

What Happens To Sirona Ryan

For many, Hogsmeade is a fun distraction, a place to go on the occasional shopping spree and peruse the shelves of Gladrags Wizardwear. However, within the cozy village, there is a cast of fairly memorable characters. While, of course, some are less important than others, the likes of Sirona Ryan absolutely deserve a follow-up in theHogwarts Legacysequel.

Having the people of Hogsmeade, and, for that matter, the other villages surrounding Hogwarts, be a bigger part ofHogwarts Legacy 2would make exploring those areas far more impactful. It would also allow players to delve deeper into their fascinating backstories and get to know characters like Sirona a lot better. While they don’t need to be a part of the main storyline, dedicating a few more side quests to them in order to help flesh them out would be great.

1The Adventures Of Deek

What Happens To Deek And The Room Of Requirement

Deek plays a pretty important role inHogwarts Legacyas he’s the one who introduces the player to the Room of Requirement. During the events ofHogwarts Legacy, the Room of Requirement serves as the player’s vivarium for all their captured creatures as well as a place to grow ingredients for their potions. Deek facilitates all of this andproves to be a fun side character during some of the game’s more interesting side quests.

It’s Too Late For Hogwarts Legacy DLC, & A Sequel Like Hogwarts Legacy 2 Should Be The Focus Instead

Hogwarts Legacy’s rumored DLC may add some improvements, but it’s hard not to feel like it’s too little, too late, and that a sequel would be better.

Naturally,Hogwarts Legacy 2should explore how the Room of Requirement has changed, what its new purpose is, and how Deek fits into all of this. It could also further explore Deek and Matilda Weasley’s relationship. Much like the other side characters inHogwarts Legacy, Deek definitely deserves a lot more screen time as he proved to be a fan-favorite.
