Honkai: Star Railhas begun to give its beloved characters new forms or paths, but who else should get this treatment? These new variants have had in-lore reasons, but are also fun and useful. Imaginary March 7th has become a free-to-play Topaz and Harmony Trailblazer is the go-to support for Break teams.
Though these transformations have been exclusive to Express members, that seems to be changing soon. This is because anew 5-star Nihility form of Tingyunis planned for 2.7. Along with that, there are rumors of Herta and Ruan Mei receiving new forms in the future. Herta’s is supposedly her Emanator form, while Ruan Mei could be the first character to follow the Propagation path.

10Himeko Follows The Express Trend
Imaginary Erudition
As the rest of the Nameless now have an Imaginary form, Himeko should follow suit. However, instead of changing Paths, she keeps much of how her kit plays, but can freely switch between elements. This would keep her relevancy in Pure Fiction while allowing her more flexibility in teams.
Himeko can slot in as a teammate to the new entry, or fulfill her old job with the bonus of imprisoning enemies.

The important thing about this Himeko is keeping her a second DPS/follow-up attack character. WithRappa and her unique kit coming in 2.6, there is no need for two main DPS Imaginary Erudition. Instead, Himeko can slot in as a teammate to the new entry, or fulfill her old job with the bonus of imprisoning enemies.
9Yanqing Learns From His Second Master
Ice Destruction
Given his growing emergence in the story, Yanqing getting a new Path would be fitting. There is no better option than adapting to the Destruction Path from Jingliu who was much like a teacher during his first appearance. This would also be a huge boost to his gameplay, which currently makes him arguably the worst DPS in the game.
These swords will have a Blast Basic Attack by default that has some passive life steal to keep Yanqing healthy.

Yanqing would take aspects from both his and Jingliu’s original kits to make something new. His Skill can summon swords based on the amount of health he wishes to consume, to a max of 5. These swords will have a Blast Basic Attack by default that has some passive life steal to keep Yanqing healthy. His ultimate could be relatively similar, but be more like Hu Tao fromGenshin Impact, where it does more damage the less health he has. This would make him a character with frequent health management that brings more tactical planning to his gameplay.
8Bronya Leads From The Front
Wind Hunt
ThoughStar Railjust received a Wind Hunt character in Feixiao,Bronya is different in that she is made into a Break DPS. Break DPS has become a powerful force in the gacha game. This is in large part due to how easy the teams are to build and the massive amount of damage they can do. This is in large part due to the Harmony Trailblazer’s Super Break bonus damage, but early rumors are that the new Tingyun will be another boon.
Honkai: Star Rail - Lingsha Ascension & Trace Materials
Farming Lingsha’s materials in Honkai: Star Rail can be a very straightforward process if you know exactly where to concentrate your efforts.
Hunt Bronya will be slightly different from other Break DPS as she won’t be able to implement a Wind Weakness, but she will get tradeoffs for this. Her Skill will play into the history of rifles and allow her to enhance basic attack twice in a row, though neither attack will replenish a skill point. The ultimate, in replacement of implementing, will deal a set amount of toughness break regardless of element, as the full force of Belebog fires along with Bronya on the set target.

7Luka Gets A Powerful New Upgrade
Physical Destruction
Luka’s new path would make him into a discount Boothill, giving all players a chance to have a Physical Break DPS. Luka makes sense for this role given his reemergence in the story, along with his brutal fighting style. The bonus of this being a new Path for a 4-Star means that it would be earned through an event rather than a banner.
Luka’s current kit already fits well enough but needs some tweaking. The big change is that his bleed damage is removed in replacement of some self-damage. However, this comes with the tradeoff that he will implement Physical weakness with his Skill. His talent will also see a small change, where whenever Luka breaks an enemy, he will heal. This is keeping the core of his kit intact, but fixing him to the new Path while staying weaker than Boothill.
6Clara Switches To The Support Role
Physical Preservation
Clara was a fan-favorite counter-attack DPS and the only one till Yunli came out. Luckily, she still has her role as a more consistent damage dealer, whereasYunli and her best buildsare better with large bursts of damage. However, this version of Clara wants to utilize Svarog to be more of a defensive option while still maintaining her counter-attack ways.
Honkai Star Rail 2.6 Leaks: How Much Stellar Jade Is Available In The Update
Players may have access to dozens of free pulls in Honkai: Star Rail 2.6 if the leaked estimation about Stellar Jade in the update is correct.
Preservation Clara would play similarly to Fu Xuan, where Svarog would largely absorb the damage taken by the team. This would help sustain and keep Clara an SP-positive character for SP-hungry teams. The trick to this is that Clara’s new ultimate would be a matter of timing, as it would do more damage and heal Svarog, up to a cap, based on the amount of damage he has absorbed. This keeps the counter playstyle she is known for while making the duo feel fresh.
5Guinaifen Aims For A Larger Audience
Pyro Erudition
Guinaifen has remained a popular appearance in mostStar Railevents, so it fits to give her a slight switch. It is hard to give her a sustain role or a switch to Harmony, but making her into a DPS feels best. Of the three,Erudition meshes best with the ways she is currently used.
Her Skill would be an attack that hits all enemies on the field for Fire damage and puts one counter out of three.
Instead of being a break, DOT, or counterattack focus, she would be a scaling DPS that works around her Firework Dogs. Her Skill would be an attack that hits all enemies on the field for Fire damage and puts one counter out of three. At three counters, Guinaifen will get an enhanced Skill, which is a massive damage boost. The ultimate would play around this by either instantly giving Guinfaifen her three stacks, or further boosting the enhanced Skill if it is available.
4A Similar Role But Different Rules For Pela
Ice Harmony
Pela would stay in the Amplifier role but focus more on buffing than debuffing. This fits Pela’s role in lore while not stretching her abilities past the realm of belief. However, this would limit her role to more of a Hypercarry support fill than a global debuffer.
Pela’s Skill would latch one of her drone guns to the applied character, giving them a small damage buff and triggering a follow-up attack on every enemy target hit. This would be similar to the 4-Star Tingyun but having a broader area of attack. Meanwhile, her new Ultimate would buff her whole team to gain crit rate based on a percentage of Pela’s own. This avenue makes her semi-viable in Dual DPS teams, but still better with a single Hypercarry.
3Gepard Goes On The Attack
An idea for a Destruction Gepard doesn’t take him too far from his current kit while introducing some new mechanics. The inspiration for this kit comes from the Belebog Heavy Guards, which can be a nuisance. It is a simple change, but it fits the character while still feeling unique for the role.
Destruction Gepard’s Skill would tag an ally and then consume half the damage they would take. This is set to half so it still feels impactful rather than an extra sustain unit. Gepard would then retaliate with an attack that would deal extra toughness reduction and heal him. However, this does not heal the ally that was tagged, so a real sustain unit is crucial. This Gepard would fit well into Dual DPS counter teams, making him good with Clara or Yunli.
2Sampo Plays A Bigger Role
Sampo is a character that seems like he will have a larger role with the appearance of Sparkle, so it fits for him to receive a second Path.Sticking to his theme, the best second Path for Sampo would be a follow-up Hunt unit. The important thing here is making him unique fromMoze and his best builds.
Hunt Sampo will mark one ally as his Partner-in-Crime, making it so he will attack their main target once per turn. This attack will also leave a debuff on an enemy that boosts the damage his Partner-in-Crime does. In this form, Sampo would be a pseudo Nhility/Hunt option that brings a bit of both but doesn’t master either. His Ultimate would be a large attack that leaves this same debuff but doubles its effect for the next attack only.
1Silver Wolf Plays A Different Game
Quantum Harmony
While not as dominant as she used to be,Silver Wolf is still a great debuffer but can be just as good as a buffer. Her unique hacking skills and importance to the story make her an ideal fit to change to Harmony. The trick with her is making it so she can compete with the massive strength of the top Harmony supports in Ruan Mei, Robin, and Sparkle.
Honkai: Star Rail - Best Moze Builds (Light Cones, Relics, Team Comps)
Building Moze in Honkai: Star Rail can unlock his full potential as a sub-DPS focused on dealing Lightning damage through follow-up attacks.
The big change for Silver Wolf would be her weakness implant. Her Skill would pick an enemy’s first weakness and then pick an ally that allows them to deal this damage type to that enemy only. The new ultimate would be similar to the current, but instead of reducing an enemy’s defense, when used on an ally it will increase their defense ignore, and attack. Lastly, to make up for the removal of her debuff talent, her new talent would give all her allies a small boost to crit rate and damage as long as Silver Wolf is alive.
Though it is unlikely this number of characters get a second Path, it would be an interesting addition. The result of leaks about future characters will show if there is any chance older characters get some refreshing. At worst, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to give some 4-Stars, especially the ones that have fallen out of popularity, some chance at redemption. If either is possible, these are the ten characters inHonkai: Star Railthat deserve a second Path.
