One of the most crucial things to understand inStar Wars Outlawsis how to change - or specifically improve - your reputation with the syndicates and factions. Your relationship with all of the factions will change over time, and as you do more of the missions scattered throughout the game. However, there areways to be proactive and change your reputationwithout relying on those specific story beats.
Getting the best reputation with thesyndicates inStar Wars Outlawswillbenefit you from manydifferent perks, as well as getting special outfits with great abilities that are often catered to what that faction specializes in. This can get you quite far, as just being able to roam around a planetwithout fearing retaliation from the various factionsis a big win. There’s nothing like going straight for your mission marker and realizing you have ended up in a territory with a bad reputation.

Star Wars Outlaws Has An Oddly Refreshing Take On The Rebels
Star Wars Outlaws briefly touches on the larger scope of the galactic war and, with it, introduces a viewpoint rarely mentioned in Star Wars media.
5Story Choices
Picking & Choosing
InStar Wars Outlaws, the main storyline will oftenpresent you with various choicesthat will often improve your reputation with a various faction, but it can also harm your reputation with others. Picking the right option at that time is tricky, as not everyone will have the same desires and experiences every time. For instance, an early version of this occurs just after sneaking into Pyke Territory in Toshara, and you may pick between giving yourinformation to the Pykes or Eleera, who is with Crimson Dawn.
Striking the balance between the various factions can be difficult, especially at first. For instance, getting a good reputation with the Pykes early will help with the difficulty of the early game on Toshara, but maximizing your relationship with Crimson Dawn will get you the best exclusive outfit.

To see what happens either way for this mission, you can check out YouTuberRuba’s video on the subject. While choosing not to give up the information in this instancedoes not harm your reputation with the opposite faction, you will want to pick a faction that you want early support from. Neither choice will be bad in this case, but typically if you have no other preference, picking the one you have the worst reputation with will get you out of shady waterswhile not overly harming your other relationship.
Effect(s)
Terrible
Everything that is true about a Poor reputation, plus the added negatives of having a hit on you with bounty hunters chasing after you when you are in the open world. You cannot pay to clear this status; you will have to find a different way to get the bounty off of you.
Poor
You cannot enter the syndicate districts, you will pay more for goods from affiliated merchants, and trespassing will worsen your reputation if spotted. You can be attacked on sight.
Good
you may move within certain non-restricted areas of a syndicate’s district and get discounts at affiliated merchants.
Excellent
You can take items from syndicate districts with no punishment and get better deals with merchants and exclusive gear if your reputation is maxed out.
4Data Logs
Selling Information
You will often be able to findspecial data logs when sneaking into the restricted areasof the various factions. If you can give these to a syndicate vendor, your relationship with that syndicate will often improve. The good news is thatdoing so will not harm your reputation with the other syndicatesyou did not share the date with. However, your reputation will not improve very much.
Ashiga - Kijimi Explorer
For Damage Reduction & Healing
However, you are likely to bepassively collecting some of these things, and finding the vendors is not that difficult, as you often have to walk right past them. It’s a more passive way of changing your reputation, but it’s better than nothing. This can alsohappen in conjunction with story beats, as the first example of this is the data you find that makes you choose between Gorak and Eleera.
Like with the data logs, you can also sometimes find ways to boost your reputation passively bygetting into random encounters. This will occur as you are wandering around the world, and if you help out a syndicate member who is in trouble, your reputation with that faction will improve without you having to do so yourself.

3Playing Sabacc
Challenging The Table
If you enjoy playing Sabacc, this might be thebest way for you to get small reputation boosts. Each syndicate district has a Sabacc table within it, and you can challenge the locals to a game. Luckily, they will be impressed with you if you win,and you will get a fairly large reputation boost. The bad news is that this is a one-time affair, so winning at the same table a second time will not help youincrease your reputation and earn the rewards.
Additionally, it isunclear if this trick works in districts where you have a poor reputationbefore you start. Sometimes, it is possible to play a game despite having a low reputation, but this is not always true. This is a bit confusing in the game, but it is probably better not to risk getting caught if you are unsure. Use the #1 method to improve your reputation a little first, andthen get a bigger boost once it’s safe. Check out YouTubereasynowto see how to play Sabacc.

2Syndicate Quests
Make A Good Reputation Better
These are very similar to the contracts and often resolve the same way. The main difference is where you find the quests, as they are oftenhidden in syndicate territoryand cannot be started unless your reputation with them is already good or better. You can get a bigger reputation boost, pushing you closer to themax level with that syndicate, and even if you do not want max level, having thewiggle room when it comes time to betray that syndicate is nice.
There are also somehigher stakes involved in many of these quests, making them a bit more thrilling. For example, the Hutt’s syndicate quest called Sabotage will force you to make a pretty big choice between two factionswhere one relationship will get bolstered and one will take a hit. If you need help picking a faction, check out this video from YouTuberNorZZa.

Sometimes you can get fairly good rewards from these quests outside of the reputation boost, so they are still worth doing no matter what if you can.

There’s so much to see and do across Star Wars Outlaws' open world, that some extremely adorable bonding moments between Kay and Nix can be missed.
1Syndicate Contracts
Finding Brokers
There areall sorts of contract jobs available to youon eachplanet inStar Wars Outlaws. You can find these in various cantinas around the settlements where you visit, and small settlements without cantinas often have terminals where you can find contracts. This is one of the more consistent ways to earn a reputation, and it is easy to find one you want to take on and do somedamage control before you lose too much reputation. You can get a fair boost to your reputation; each job is tied to a faction.
Each planet can only have a few active contracts at a time, so try to clear them immediately so that you are not blocked from doing so if you need that emergency damage control. The best part is that most of these do not require you to enter syndicate territory, so you can get these done and pull yourself out of the negative reputation. Additionally, new contracts pop up fairly often, making it easy to find one when needed.
You do not receive any penalty for not completing a contract, so do not be too worried if you decide not to do one.
Once you have decided what to do with your faction choices and how to raise your reputation, you will be ready to take on the rest of the game. The most important thing to keep in mind is thatwhoever you choose will become a major player at the end of the game, so pick your poison wisely. This will help you become the outlaw with the greatest reputation inStar Wars Outlaws.
