The Chiseason 8 has received a major update. The drama, whichfollows the lives of various residents of Chicago’s Southside, was created by Lena Waithe and debuted on Showtime in 2018. The cast of the series includes Jacob Latimore, Alex R. Hibbert, Yolonda Ross, Michael V. Epps, Shamon Brown Jr., and Birgundi Baker.The Chiseason 7, which is set to premiere some time in 2025, was officially renewed in May 2024 and had already wrapped production by October.
Lena Waithe had her breakout when she joined the cast of Netflix’sMaster of None, a show for which she won an Emmy for writing the episode “Thanksgiving.”
