Ahsoka Show Cast & Star Wars Character Guide
Star Wars Celebration 2023 revealed the first trailer for the upcoming Ahsoka series, featuring many of the show’s characters and respective cast.
This is shown beautifully by cosplayersnippycosplay(Sema), who donned theAhsokaantagonist and did an excellent job in her cosplay. The details of the armor are perfectly integrated in the outfit, and her hair and eye makeup feel very reminiscent of the actual character. However, her stance is the perfect indication of the kind of character Shin is: a hunter with a deep need to prove herself.

Sema’s cosplay of Shin Hati is one of many over the past year, a testament toStar Warsfans' love for a character that needs to be greatly expanded upon in the franchise. This means she will likely play a larger role inAhsokaseason 2. Her character deserves to be explored more and could become an interesting wild card for the franchise, depending on her character’s path.

The Ahsoka finale reveals what happens to Shin Hati at the conclusion of season 1, but will the dark Jedi Padawan return in the future of Star Wars?
Shin Hati Needs More Screen Time In Star Wars
She is too good of a character to waste
Shin Hati, played by Ivanna Sakhno, was one of the bright spots of theAhsokaseries. She and her master were great antagonists because of the mysterious aura around them. Throughout the series, Baylan kept telling Shin that he wanted her to be something more than a Jedi or a Sith, which at times left Shin confused. This could point to the fear within Shin. She is unsure of what she is doing because she doesn’t know what she wants for herself.
There are indications that Shin Hati’s story is going in two directions:either becoming redeemed or continuing to be a sort of aimless warrior. She is seemingly allied with the bandits of the planet she is stuck on, as with Ahsoka and Sabine. The abandonment of her master andGrand Admiral Thrawnwill influence her choices. Will she become angry and seek revenge on Ahsoka and Sabine, or seek revenge on Thrawn? Whichever wayShin Hati’s story gets told, all that matters is that a great character like this does not go to waste, as her story needs to continue.

Shin Hati
The mysterious Shin Hati was recruited by Baylan Skoll as a Dark Jedi Padawan. Like her master, Shin operated within the shadows until the Mandalorian era, when the duo took on a job for Morgan Elsbeth - one that took them to the distant planet Peridea. Shin is now stranded on Peridea as is the woman who has become her rival, Sabine Wren.
