Ditto remains one of the most elusive Pokémon to find and catch inPokémon GO, but knowing its current disguises is vital if you are looking to add it to your collection. While most other Pokémon appear on your map inPokémon GOas themselves,Ditto disguises itself as various other types. 11 Disguises That Could Be Ditto
If you have beentracking down Ditto in recent months, the good news is you will know what disguises to look out for. For the start of November 2024, the list of 11 Pokémon that it can disguise itself ashas not changed since October 2024. Ditto continues to hide itself behind four fellow Generation One Pokémon:Oddish, Koffing, Goldeen, and Rhyhorn.While these don’t always spawn regularly due to in-game events, Koffing and Oddish are both common, so they should appear more than a lot of the other possible disguises.
While catching Zorua has many similarities, it will appear in the form of your buddy Pokémon, where Ditto will appear as one of the 11 above disguises.
In addition, there are seven other Pokémon that could be disguised as Ditto from a variety of generations. These areStufful, Spinarak, Bergmite, Gothita, Solosis, Numel, and Bidoof. Currently, Ditto is not available throughthe new Max Battles format, but more Pokémon are being added to this each month.

While there is no way of confirming if a Pokémon is itself or a Ditto until you have caught it, there are a couple of things that might indicate this. Firstly, Ditto has a very low CP, so if you find one of the above 11 Pokémon with alower-than-normal CP, it’s worth catching. Secondly, Ditto has a lower catch rate than the majority of the above Pokémon, so if you are struggling to catch one, it’sworth using a Golden Berry and Ultra Ballsto increase the chances of being successful.

Incense And Lures Can Increase Your Spawns
Due to not being able to see it on your map, Ditto is much harder to catch than other Pokémon, but there are several ways you can increase your chances of finding them. There are three tools inPokémon GOthat increase the spawn rates of Pokémon.Incense and Daily Incense both increase the number of spawnsdirectly around you for a set period of time. While if you place a Lure on a PokéStop, this also has the same effect, increasing the number of Pokémon that spawn around it for you and other players.
Lures, Incense and Daily Incense don’t increase the chances of any individual Pokémon being a Ditto in disguise, but they do increase the overall number of spawns near your area.
From my experiences of trying to find Ditto, the best strategy isto catch any of the 11 Pokémon that it can be disguised asevery time you see one. This also gives you the opportunity to catch the even rarer Shiny Ditto. Appearing in a very different light blue form,Shiny Ditto has an expected rate of being found once in every 64 encountersyou have with the Pokémon. Finally, during certain in-game events there have previously been increased spawns of Ditto, but currently there are none of these taking place inPokémon GO.
There is no way to further increase your chances to catch a Ditto in November 2024, but by being aware of the 11 different types of Pokémon that can be a Ditto in disguise, you give yourself the best chance of adding one to your Pokédex inPokémon GO.
