Funky Fungi is one of the hidden levels inAstro Botthat can only be unlocked by finding asecret exit portal in another level.Once you have found it, though, it provides a real challenge with plenty more Bots and Puzzle Pieces to find. Due to it being a hidden level, it includes lots of new types of puzzles, making it tricky to find all of the collectibles.
Funky Fungi can be unlocked by playing the Creamy Canyon level in the first world,the Gorilla Nebula. As the initial level is so early inAstro Bot, players can unlock and play Funky Fungi in no time at all. The plant-based level introduces new elements not seen in the game’s predecessor,Astro’s Playroom, including the ability to dig down into the ground. Funky Fungi Bot One
Rescuing The First Bot From The Enemy
After using the new spinning punch to lift yourself up into the air onto a higher platform, you will find the first Bot in plain sight on the left. However, it has an enemy hovering around for company. Jump up and spin attack the Bot to set it free. It is one of themany cameo bot appearancesinAstro Bot, Richter Belmont from Castlevania.
The hidden level can be accessed by entering theLost Galaxyfrom the main hub inAstro Bot.
Funky Fungi Puzzle Piece One
Smashing A Wall To Find The Piece
Puzzle Pieces play a key part inAstro Bot,as you look to complete the final puzzles showcasing some of PlayStation’s finest moments. The first Piece in Funky Fungi can be found after you have pulled up the dynamite shortly after rescuing the previous Bot. After using it first on the enemies directly in front of you, go back and pick it up again, but this time turn around and jump up the steps. You can throw it against the wall that is marked, blowing it up to reveal the Piece.
How To Unlock Every Hidden Level In Astro Bot (Serpent Starway)
Serpent Starway has eight hidden levels in total, but all can be easily unlocked by crashing into asteroids and other items in Astro Bot.
Funky Fungi Puzzle Piece Two
A Puzzle For A Puzzle
Once you have dug down inside the level for the first time, you’re able to use the flower to float up to the first level on the right-hand side. Defeat the large yellow enemy and underneath is another area you can dig down into. Inside is a puzzle to solve. If you walk across the different tiles, you will find yourcontroller vibrating when you are standing on top of a certain one. If you jump up and use your laser to break the tile it will reveal the second Puzzle Piece.

Blue Mushrooms Do Bring Rewards
Once you go to the main room with different levels and mushrooms, look to the left where you will see a tall group of mushrooms dancing. If you pull on the nearby wires you will get the flowers that can help boost you up. Use the flowers and the boosted tiles to propel yourself on top of the big blue mushroom. Here you will find Bot number two, The Hunter from Bloodborne.

Digging Deep For Bot Number Three
The next Bot is in the same section of the level, but in the central area. Use the wires underneath the yellow mole to find a flower that can take you up to the platform above and search for the latest blue x, marking an area that you can dig down into. Inside this room, there is no puzzle, but a number of enemies to defeat. Once you have done so, you can jump on the robot that is left to rescue the Bot higher up on the ledge in the corner.

Slip Down The Water Slide To Rescue Number Four
As you progress towards the end of the level, you will dig down and find yourself in a sliding water section. On the final one of these balance beams, you will find the fourth Bot hanging down above at the end. As you travel down the last bit of the path, jump and spin attack the Bot to rescue it.

Look Up High To Complete The Level
As you near the end of the level, you will come across a couple of spiky robots that can be tricky to defeat. After you have defeated the first one, you will find some wires underneath where it stood. It will reveal a flower that you can use to climb up to the waterfall in the background. At the top is another Bot that you can rescue by defeating the nearby enemy.
While there are only seven collectibles in Funky Fungi, it can prove to be one of the more tricky levels inAstro Bot, but once you have them all, you are one step closer to rescuing all 300 andunlocking the secret 301st bot.
