It’s safe to say thatBronson Reedhas officially established himself as the most vicious monster onWWE’sroster. After spending more than a decade in the indies, Bronson Reed signed with NXT, WWE’s developmental brand. Even after a brief year-long release, Reed was building a steady rise to the top for himself. Then, the company suddenly started elevating him astronomically into the main event picture in more recent months.
One of the reasons behind Reed’s newfound popularity is his finishing move, the Tsunami, which sees him splashing down all 330 lbs onto his opponents off the top rope. A series of devastating Tsunami that put Seth Rollins out of action was what truly put Reed on the map in the main roster, and from that point onwards, the Australian monster has been a presence that can’t be ignored on Monday Night Raw.

While this is not the first time that a wrestler’s finisher move has contributed to a rise in popularity, WWE has done a great job of packaging Bronson Reed in the right way. Still, seeing him fly from the top rope to crush down an opponent is a sight to behold, and some Tsunami have resonated louder than others.
10Bronson Reed’s Tsunami on Roman Reigns
WWE Friday Night SmackDown, August 19, 2025
On a Friday Night SmackDown, the longest storyline in wrestlingreached its biggest development heading into Survivor Series: WarGames 2024. The OG Bloodline are still fresh off of reuniting withtheir Honorary Uce Sami Zayn, but are still in need of a fifth man for their match. Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline won’t need to worry about that problem, as their fifth man, Bronson Reed, emerged during SmackDown’s Bloodline vs. Bloodline brawl. He made an emphatic statement by delivering a soul-crushing Tsunami to Roman Reigns.
If his series of Tsunamis to Seth Rollins was career-elevating for Reed, his Tsunami to Roman Reigns could be considered career-defining. Bronson left a nine-time WrestleMania main eventer wheezing for air. Roman selling as if he were coughing his lungs out from that splash is what drives this home as a star-making performance from Reed.

9WWE Main Roster Debut, Tsunami to Dexter Lumis to Help The Miz
WWE Monday Night Raw, July 05, 2025
In 2021, Bronson Reed was one of several NXT talents released from WWE. He spent a year away wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling and TNA Impact Wrestling, but when Vince McMahon reached a career-low point, that would become a saving grace for Reed. As Vince exited the company for the first time, Triple H would quickly begin re-hiring many of those previously released NXT Superstars, including Reed, who finally reached the main roster by helping The Miz win a Ladder Match against Dexter Lumis.
Not every Tsunami can be memorable for being in a moment of anarchy, but here, the impact comes from its deeper significance by setting up the beginning of his career. It’s Reed’s shocking return to WWE, immediately placing him in a top position as Miz’s hired gun. Those not familiar with his NXT work can still stare in awe at seeing this mastodon fly through the air.

8Tsunami on Dolph Ziggler in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match
WWE Monday Night Raw, August 04, 2025
In 2023, WWE was preparing for its 13th annual Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, emanating live from Montreal, Quebec, Canada’s Bell Centre. The PPV’s actual match on the card was set to see Austin Theory defend his United States Championship against five other competitors, who were decided by qualifying matches. For Bronson Reed, he went toe-to-toe with former World Heavyweight Champion, Dolph Ziggler.
While not his first match on the main roster, this would be the biggest win of Reed’s growing WWE career. It was also an early sign thatWWE was ready for a slow push that would earn an eventual payoff. Even though Ziggler had settled into becoming almost an enhancement talent at this stage of his career, he’s still a former World Champion who was once insanely over with crowds. A win over Dolph with a definitive Tsunami was important as Reed was building his in-ring résumé.

7Tsunami on Otis
WWE Monday Night Raw, June 10, 2025
Ifhis Last Monster Standing matchwas indicative of anything, it was thatBronson Reed was becoming a marquee attraction. Just like classic big men before him like Andre the Giant, Bronson’s size and aura were enough to be a selling point in itself. Pitting him against Braun Strowman showed how he could be such a selling point, creating a must-see match-up, especially with a similarly large opponent - but it wouldn’t be the first time.
“Big” Bronson Reed vs. fellow big man Otis felt just as must-see. To loosely quote Big E, who doesn’t like big meaty men slapping meat? A 330 lb man splashing onto another 330 lb man was always going to capture the intrigue of crowds worldwide. It’s the first time that WWE truly promoted a match featuring Reed as a special attractionworth seeing and worth buying a ticket for in any arena.

WWE Monday Night Raw, July 10, 2025
While he did win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the go-home episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania 40, Bronson Reed didn’t actually wrestle at the show. In fact,he has yet to compete at any Mania show. However, he did have a significant spotlight on him on the road to WrestleMania 40. As Sami Zayn prepared to wrestle Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at the Show of Shows, he fell to Bronson Reed thanks to a jaw-dropping Tsunami.
Despite not having a Mania match himself, Reed defeated a WrestleMania main eventer and added something to a key title match, planting doubt in the story if Zayn was capable of beating Gunther. He was able to help progress a storyline he wasn’t actively a part ofwhile also elevating his own star power.

5Tsunami to Win the NXT North American Championship
NXT, July 13, 2025
WWE’s main roster has painted Bronson Reed as the meanest and baddest of the land, but he was more of a gentle giant in NXT when he was portraying a babyface. He made it clear that his main mission statement there was to become NXT North American Champion, putting him in opposition to the then-champion, Johnny Gargano (who, similarly, was uncharacteristically a heel at the time). Bronson’s chase for gold would take him inside the unforgiving steel cage with Gargano’s championship on the line.
Up to that point in his WWE career, this would prove to be the most important Tsunami that Reed would ever deliver. His Tsunamis have gotten bigger in scale and stakes since then, but this was the Tsunami that earned him his first championship under the WWE banner. Considering the momentum that he carries now, it likely won’t be his last.

4Tsunami on Seth Rollins Through the Announcers Table
WWE Monday Night Raw, June 06, 2025
The main event of Monday Night Raw was a Fatal Four Way match to decide the number one contender to Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship. This match featured “Dirty” Dom Mysterio, Damian Priest, Sheamus, and Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Unfortunately for Rollins, he was already embroiled in a heated rivalry with Bronson Reed who was anxious to cost Rollins the match, and even more anxious to put him through a table.
It was always going to be tough to top Bronson Reed’s series of Tsunamis on Seth Rollins after SummerSlam, and it still is, but this comes pretty close. Reed absolutely squishes Rollins underneath him. A near-400-pounder slamming another man between himself and a sturdy announce table makes for an ugly landing but also for an entertainment sight for the most bloodthirsty fans of pro wrestling.

3Five Tsunamis on R-Truth
WWE Monday Night Raw, August 17, 2025
Speaking of that original Tsunami attack on Seth Rollins, the very next week, Bronson Reed set his sights on R-Truth. Or, more accurately, R-Truth fell into his sights moments after Reed defeated The Miz in singles competition. Reed climbs to the top, ready for a post-match attack on Mizanin, until his tag team partner rolls him out of harm’s way. For his efforts, the other half of Awesome Truth gets hit with a cross body from Reed, followed by five Tsunami splashes.
Seeing Reed do this to two WWE Superstars in back-to-back weeksmade it clear that the unrelenting rage seen on display from Bronson the previous week was not stopping any time soon. It was also clear that the monster push (no pun intended) for Reed was more than just a one-off and was continuing. Plus, Reed added another former World Champion (Truth won the NWA title in TNA) to his impressive, growing list of victims.

2Six Tsunamis on Seth Rollins
WWE Monday Night Raw, August 22, 2025
This is the moment that started it all for Bronson Reed. At this point, while Bronson Reed displayed some impressive feats, he wasn’t used heavily on WWE television other than a random midcard feud or a random match between big men. His push allowed him to look strong, but it was nonetheless a slow build to the top. WWE finally opted to reignite the fuse of his rocket ship two days after the37th annual SummerSlam PLE. Seth Rollins, fresh from his special ref stint for CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre, addressed the crowd per usual only to suddenly be targeted by Bronson Reed.
The Reed character attacked the five-time World Champion to put the WWE Universe on notice, and the message was received loud and clear. The barrage of Tsunamis was shocking enough, but each Tsunami seemed to hit harder than the last. It was a surefire way to get the Tsunami over as one of WWE’s most powerful finishers, especially as it put Rollins on the injury list for two months.

1Bronson Reed Hits the Tsunami on Braun Strowman on Top of a Car
WWE Monday Night Raw, August 20, 2025
Bronson Reed continued to unleash an absolute warpath on the Raw roster with no end in sight until he was forced to start picking on someone his own size: another former World Champion in Braun Strowman. The two would spend weeks attacking each other in brawls where they’d toss objects and even people at each other. Their most chaotic brawl comes on this night, moving into the parking lot where Reed would deliver a glass-shattering Tsunami on top of a car.
This is the only Tsunami that managed to beeven more devastating than what he did to Rollins, taking out both men in one fell swoop. The moment managed to make Reed and his finisher look like a million bucks while also providing a wild, viral moment. It’s moments like this that helped solidifyBronson Reedin overtaking Braun’s role asWWE’sresident Monster Among Men.
