Summary
As with many RPGs,Cyberpunk 2077’s builds and various approaches to missions and gigs are a huge reason why the game is so replayable, as players can try new tactics or make different key decisions and see things play out differently in either a larger or more minute way. Sometimes, players can go in with a specific approach in mind, while other times, a new method presents itself.
The latter was the case for RedditorGlobal_Excuse_7736, whostumbled across an extremely efficient way to complete the gigFlying Drugs. This gig sees V hired by the Aldecados' Dakota Smith to investigate the cause of the disappearance of a smuggler’s drones and leads V to a heavily guarded railway station occupied by the Wraiths. Upon some investigation, V determines that an antenna on the roof is likely the cause of the disruption to the drones, and goes about shutting it down.

Global_Excuse_7736 explained that they were trying to be “sneaky” by staying on the ground outside the station and using the camera on the rooftop toquickhack a bunch of enemiesbefore going for a louder, full-on assault. While doing so, however, they discovered thatthe objective was right in the camera’s line of sight. Therefore, they were able to hit “Initiate Overload” on it and completed the mission incredibly quickly without stepping foot into the station or fighting any Wraiths.
Cyberpunk 2077: The Best Gigs for Easy Money
There are many different activities for players to complete in Cyberpunk 2077. This guide shows players the best way to earn money from side gigs.
There Is A Downside To This Approach
Efficiency Doesn’t Always Mean The Best Payout
TheFlying Drugsgig can be completed in a variety of ways, from either destroying the antenna base with a weapon, which will alert any remaining guards and security systems on the premises and result in a more daring escape, or an absolute bloodbath if V fights their way through, or for those with an appropriate Technical Ability rank - this was a rank of 10 when the game first launched but may have changed with thedynamic scaling introduced in later patches- which lets V cut the antenna’s power and stay undetected for a full stealth approach.
As noted by several comments below Global_Excuse_7736’s post, while the camera approach is by far the quickest way to destroy the antenna, it also doesn’t reap the most rewards. Those who infiltrated the station and hacked more computers for information or took down Wraiths on their way to the antenna would have received far more XP and loot in the process. This is the same with some other gigs, such asAn Inconvenient Killer, where an assassination target can be quickhacked from afar, but by doing so and never entering their office and going near their body, players will miss out on the loot it holds.

Of course, in both cases, the main payout from the fixers - Dakota forFlying Drugsand Dino forAn Inconvenient Killer- remains the same, so it just depends on how much of an additional reward players seek. That’s half the fun of games such asCyberpunk 2077, however, as players can weigh up the pros and cons of each decision and decide what they feel may be better for their version of V at that moment.
