Star Wars Outlaws Review: Dazzling Hives Of Scum & Villainy
Star Wars Outlaws focuses on a grimier, seedier side of the universe with a rich, detailed open world that features both new and legacy characters.
Emilia Clarke Does Not Voice Lady Qi’ra In Star Wars Outlaws
Although Her Visual Likeness Is Used
The team at Massive Entertainment has clearly used Clarke’s likeness in their character model for Lady Qi’ra inStar Wars Outlaws. As the character’s voice sounds incredibly similar to Clarke’s, many would likely assume Clarke reprised her role from the movies. This isn’t the case, however, andLady Qi’ra is actually portrayed by a different actress, Tamaryn Payne, inStar Wars Outlaws.
Payne is a British actress who appeared on the soap operaHollyoaksbetween 2011 and 2013. She has since worked on many video games, such asGame of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series,Divinity: Original Sin II, where she played the companion Lohse, and last year’s hugely successful, award-winning juggernaut,Baldur’s Gate 3, where she played Wyll’s handler, Mizora, and provided the voice for many other additional characters.

The interactions with Lady Qi’ra may be short-lived as she only appears in specific moments inStar Wars Outlaws' story, as Kay takes on Crimson Dawn jobs from brokers the rest of the time when exploring the open world. However, Payne and Massive Entertainment have done a great job of bringing back the character in a way that feels natural to fans of Clarke’s portrayal inSolo, making it feel like a continuation of that story - which has largely beenabandoned in the moviesand only lives on in other forms ofStar Warsmedia - and further embedding Kay’s story within that of the widerStar Warslore.
