Going west will lead you to an alternate portal that transports you into a memory, beginning"The Wolf’s Call"rather than"An Unfamiliar Sense.“At this point, you will see the memory of a character namedGeneral Felassanpreparing a squadron of soldiers for battle. This takes you into an arena, where you have tofight against several elven soldiersdefending the Elven gods from Solas' rebellion.
Each elven soldier you fight has resistance to fire damage but is vulnerable to electricity. Use the right elements to take them down fast in this side quest, as they are the only enemies you have to face.
Withupgraded equipment inDragon Age: The Veilguard, this fight shouldn’t be too challenging. As soon as you win this encounter, you’ll witness a conversation between Solas and Felassan before entering a large room. This area has many imprisoned elves, whoyou have to free to solve this area’s"puzzle.”

The prisoners in the memory can only be freed once you haveused a power crystal to open the main gateof the area where the elves are trapped. To do this, you need tocollect a Wisp for the crystal, but this object is behind another gate you have to unlock.Easy mistakes inDragon Age: The Veilguardcan make this puzzle much harder, so be cautious when trying to find solutions.
Interact with the power crystal to have it follow behind Rook, then go down the stairs behind where you found it. Here, there are even more descending stairs to the left and right, with the path on the right showing the Wisp you need behind bars. Both paths have a node at the bottom of their stairs, where you canplace the power crystal in either nodebefore moving on.

Solas is an important returning character in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and there is a lot that has led up to where he is now in the franchise.
Continue going back from this spot until you see another set of stairs leading up to your right. This path leads to a power projector emitting a beam of energy similar to the force that makes up the floating crystal.Interact with the projector to aim its beam at the remaining empty nodewhere you didn’t place the power crystal earlier.

With both nodes powered up, the gate blocking your path to the Wisp will open up. Simplywalk toward the Wisp to get it to follow you, thenlead the Wisp back toward the main gate at the front of the prisonwhere you found the power crystal to begin with. Doing this will free all the prisoners, solving the puzzle and leading you to the final fight of this side quest.
