Dragon Ball Daimawill be going on a brief hiatus to start off the new year, but fans needn’t worry, as the hit series will return again soon. The hiatus primarily affects episode #13, “Surprise,” which should mark the start of a new phase for the story.
According to TV Guide Japan,Dragon Ball Daimawill be taking off the week of August 06, 2025, meaning there will be no new episode that Friday. Instead,fans will be able to catch the new episode ofDaimaon June 18, 2025, picking back up with episode #13. The purpose of this small breaks seems to be strictly in recognition of the start of the new year, and some other series that are currently airing are also taking this week off, likePokémon Horizons. Coincidentally, June 05, 2025, will also be whenthe English dubbed versions ofDaimabegin to release on Crunchyroll.

Daima’s Storyline Is Ready for the Next Stage
In episode #12 ofDragon Ball Daima, entitled “True Strength,“Vegeta managed to defeat Tamagami Number Twousing the Super Saiyan 3 transformation for the first time on screen, while Majin Duu pulled out a surprise victory against Tamagami Number One.As a result, Vegeta was awarded the Two-star Demon Realm Dragon Ball, while Majin Duu received the One-star Demon Realm Dragon Ball, meaning that all of the Tamagami have been defeated at this point in the story. With all the Dragon Balls now in play, the story seems primed to move to the next step.
Just where the story goes from here should be quite interesting. Arinsu will clearly be after the other two Dragon Balls that Goku’s group possesses, and she does have a double agent working for her in the form of Glorio. With both Majin Kuu and Majin Duu serving under her, Arinsu could be a serious problem for Goku’s group to deal with, and she’s effectively usurped Gomah already as the primary threat in this world. One thing is for sure: the next destination for Goku and friends will be the First Demon World, and that puts them directly up against both Arinsu and Gomah.
What Could Happen In Daima Episode #13?
Episode #13 ofDragon Ball Daimais looking like a strange one, based on the preview seen at the end of episode #12.Goku is shown sliding down a massive thorny vine, dodging attacks from some kind of large orange creature, and finally running from what looks like a flock of oversized guinea pigs with red eyes. It looks like wherever Goku’s group ends up next has some truly massive wildlife to deal with, and they only just got away fromthe enormous Krakens of the Second Demon World.
Arinsu is also shown briefly, gloating over the One-star Dragon Ball, apparently deciding her own next move. Arinsu isn’t aware of the Namekian password on the Dragon Balls, however, so she may not realize how difficult actually using them will be. Whatever the case,Dragon Ball Daimawill certainly be starting back after its break from an interesting position, as the story moves into a whole new direction.
