Warning: This article includes MAJOR SPOILERS for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 3!
Netflix’sJurassic World: Chaos Theorybrings back multiple characters from theJurassic Worldmovies, creating a narrative throughline that makes the Netflix show integral to the overall story. Author Michael Crichton had screenplay and filmmaking experience, so his1990 novelJurassic Parkwas bound for success. However, there’s no way he could’ve predicted that the book would be the basis for one of the most iconic, multi-billion-dollar onscreen franchises of all time.

The six feature-lengthJurassic Parkmovies are the biggest draw for fans, but the franchise also includes two incredible animated TV shows.Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceousintroduces the Nublar Six – themain characters for the sequel seriesJurassic World: Chaos Theory. However, the newer Netflix series also brings back characters from theJurassic Worldmovies, tying the animated series directly into the events of the films.
5Soyona Santos
Santos Has Functioned As The Overarching Villain For Jurassic World: Chaos Theory
ThoughThe Broker’s identity inJurassic World: Chaos Theoryremained a mystery throughout season 1, the second season reveals her to be Soyona Santos. InJurassic World Dominion, she’s a dinosaur smuggler who illegally breeds the reptiles and runs the Malta black market.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theorydoes a great job of expanding the villain, showing just how much work she does to run the illegal dinosaur trade. She not only sells and trades dinosaurs, but she’s involved in cloning and genetically modifying them as well.

The finale of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 3 brings an end to one plotline but sets up a major crossover with Jurassic World: Dominion.
Additionally, her relationship with Brooklynn humanizes her in a strange way.Santos is still analytical and manipulative throughoutJurassic World: Chaos Theory. However, she’s actually shown caring about and connecting with the teal-haired young woman. Santos has patience that’s unprecedented for the character. That being said, her empathy is also limited, as the illegal business tycoon is still willing to kill Brooklynn if it comes down to it.
4Barry Sembene
The French Intelligence Agent Who’s Taking Down The Illegal Dinosaur Trade
SinceJurassic World: Chaos Theoryfocuses on the Malta dinosaur black market,Barry Sembene’s inclusionfelt entirely natural. The character appears in bothJurassic World(2015) andJurassic World Dominion(2022). He’s responsible for arresting Soyona Santos inJurassic World Dominion, so he would be necessary for the takedown in the Netflix show, too.
Luckily,Jurassic World: Chaos Theorydidn’t just copy and paste the character’s scenes in animated format. Season 3 expands his story, showing more of the lead-up to the black market’s raid. Additionally, the actual arrest gets more time and attention, showing how the Nublar Six helped Sembene during the takedown.
3Lewis Dodgson

TheJurassic Parkfranchise’s main antagonist is Dr. Lewis Dodgson, the scientist who eventually leads Biosyn. Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 3 continues this dark animated pocket of the franchise with plenty of connections to the movies and a major death.
Given his impact on the story, Lewis Dodgson’s appearance inJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 3 makes complete sense. He only shows up onscreen briefly when meeting with Sonoya Santos to arrange the Biosyn agreement. However, his presence is felt throughout the latter half of the season.
SinceJurassic World Dominioncrosses timelines withJurassic World: Chaos Theory, he could also potentially appear in season 4. It would be unnecessary, though, since Dodgson dies in the movie.
2The Atrociraptor Pack
The Atrociraptors Work Under The Control Of The Handler
While many dinosaurs from the originalJurassic Worldmovies appear inJurassic World: Chaos Theory, they aren’t significant and distinctive enough in the story to be considered characters. However, two exceptions exist. The first is the Atrociraptor pack that appears inJurassic World Dominion. Santos uses Ghost, Tiger, Red, and Pathera as weapons against Owen Grady and Claire Dearing in the final movie of the Jurassic World trilogy.
Similarly, the four Atrociraptors act as major antagonists for the Nublar Six in three seasons ofJurassic World: Chaos Theory. Although Darius thinks the Allosaurus took Brooklynn’s life, the Atrociraptors actually attacked her, biting off her arm. The Handler then sends them after the remaining members of the group, trying to kill the Nublar Six since they’re getting too close to discovering the global conspiracy.
1The Pyroraptor
A Ferocious Feathered Dinosaur That’s Out For Blood
The other dinosaur character who appears inJurassic World: Chaos Theoryis the Pyroraptor fromJurassic World Dominion. Based on the in-universe timeline, the dinosaur first appears inJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 3 in a small Italian town. Kenji and Darius come across it in the middle of a blizzard, so they don’t know what kind of dinosaur actually caused the damage to the car.
The Nublar Six (minus Brooklynn) and Gia become confused when they find a feather on the car. While they suspect the Archeopteryx as the source, it’s eventually revealed thatJurassic World Dominion’s coolest dinosaur, a murderous pyroraptor, is on the loose. Luckily,Jurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 3 hugely improves the dinosaur, making it a more terrifying villain.
