Season 1 - Jasmine Roth
From Hidden Potential
The inaugural season ofRock the Blocksaw Jasmine Roth battle Leanne Ford, Mina Starsiak Hawk, and Alison Victoria. The competition was tough from the very start, with each renovator getting $175,000 to renovate a coastal California home in four weeks. Whoever’s renovation got the highest appraisal won, and that ended up being Jasmine Roth. Her house was appraised at $1.02 millioncompared to Mina Starsiak Hawk’s $1.005 million. When asked about her win, Roth broke down some of her tactics (viaHGTV).
“My strategy during this entire competition was to save money on the master suite and kitchen so that I could spend big on the rest of the house. Even after installing the pool, I had a lot of money left over so I could go all out, earn the highest appraisal and win this thing.”

Roth turned a den into a fourth bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, turned a laundry room into a power bath, and created a gym with a climbing wall in the garage.Adding in the oasis-style backyard with a pool and a wet bar clinched her win. “I still can’t believe I just won Rock the Block,” Roth said. “I didn’t see it coming! Everyone was here to compete, but, at the end of the day, I came out on top.”

The 15 Best House-Flipping Shows Of All Time, Ranked
House-flipping shows have been a staple of reality TV for years, and the best ones have a great blend of dream homes and real estate knowledge.
This season, each team (rather than the solo renovators in season 1) had identical homes to which they had to add property value with their additions and renovations. Season 1 winner Jasmine Roth returned as one of the people walking through the homes and giving an appraisal. “This is surreal— one of the best moments of my life,” Brian said about the win (viaHGTV). “We were up against some of the best designers in the world, and to know now that we’re in that same category?! It just blows my mind!”

100 Day Dream Homehas reached its fifth season.
When declaring them the winners, the judges said that they added family-friendly functionality and had a budget strategy ($225,000) to ensure they finished with everything they wanted to add, including a covered porch, an indoor two-lane bowling alley, a fitness center, and a mother-in-law suite in the basement. The house was much less than the first season’s appraisal, winning at $625,000. Since winning, their HGTV show100 Day Dream Homehas reached its fifth season.
Who Deserved To Win Season 2?
Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt’s win was a surprise, as they kept losing the weekly competitions and then ended up with the best appraisal in the end. However, the duo who really did the best anddeserved to win were Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent. They revamped the house into a European farmhouse design, with their best room easily a stunning open kitchen and dining room, with open shelving and the refrigerator hidden behind cabinet doors. Less than $6,000 separated the top three houses.
Season 3 - Egypt Sherrod & Mike Jackson
From Married To Real Estate
InRock the Block’s third season, the renovation show headed to Charleston, South Carolina. This season saw Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson (Married to Real Estate) defeatthe teams of Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb (Unsellable Houses), Dave and Jenny Marrs (Fixer to Fabulous), and Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas (Bargain Block). Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson renovated their home using a coastal style and elegant details that evoked Charleston’s history. Sherrod said upfront they had an advantage: “[I could] walk in [and in] six minutes tell you what’s going to add value to a house. We’re the veterans on the show because I’ve been with HGTV for almost a decade.“During the competition, they took chances, adding a stove that costs as much as a pre-owned car and turning one bathroom into a second pantry.

It all worked out in the end, with Sherrod and Jackson winning with an appraisal of $931,000. Sherrod said they were confident but never assured they would win (viaHGTV):
The couple had worked with HGTV for a decade before they took on the opportunity to compete inRock the Block.Married to Real Estateis still going strong after theirRock the Blockwin, as it started its fourth season in 2025.

Who Deserved To Win Season 3?
Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson deserved to win the season. One of the most innovative things they did was connect the separate garage to the house, which immediately increased their square footage, one of the many smart choices they made in the season. However, while they deserved their victory,Dave and Jenny Marrs could have won as well with their design, but they might have messed up their chance when they built the slide with the kids' rooms because this limits who might want to purchase their home.
Season 4 - Michel Smith Boyd & Anthony Elle
From Luxe for Less
The fourth season ofRock the BlocksawMichel Smith Boyd and Anthony Elle (Luxe for Less) win the season, which moved the action to Colorado. Boyd said before they started that they felt underestimated (viaHGTV). “Luxury for us means knowing how to spend the money and how to create an experience. I’m a designer by trade, and I specialize in luxury, and I can’t wait to deliver that to Rock the Block.” This is exactly what the duo did to win the season.
Taking the $1.9 million home and seeing it appraised at over $2.85 million.

The duo competed against Jonathan Knight and Kristina Crestin (Farmhouse Fixer), Page Turner and Mitch Glew (Fix My Flip), and Bryan and Sarah Baeumler (Renovation Island). Boyd and Elle added a lot of luxury items but did so at a discount that allowed them to make the house look like a luxury home without breaking their $225,000 renovation bank. This allowed them to win, taking the $1.9 million home and seeing it appraised at over $2.85 million. Boyd was proud of their work (viaHGTV):
“I’m most proud that we got to do the things we love. I painted every single thing on the wall, and Anthony actually got to design the bedding in the primary bedroom. And in that room, I actually painted the entire room myself, like the ombre effect from floor to ceiling. They were labors of love but the idea of winning and also doing it with our personal specialties was really cool.”
Michel Smith Boyd gets a chance to win again as he returns in the sixth seasonwith Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab) by his side this time around. As for Anthony Elle, he is also known for his victory on season 6 ofProject Runway All Stars.
Who Deserved To Win Season 4?
There were only six episodes inRock the Block’sfourth season, butmost fans agreed that Boyd and Elle deserved the win. However, with all the houses appraised at over $2.7 million at season’s end, it was clear everyone did a great job and could have won. One team that many fans were behind was Bryan and Sarah Baeumler. However, they were even impressed, with Bryan saying, “I didn’t expect not to be disappointed at all if we didn’t win, and I’m not. I’m really happy, and all of the teams are super skilled, super talented.” (viaCountry Living)
Season 5 - Lyndsay Lamb & Leslie Davis
FromUnsellable Houses

This season saw the action move to Treasure Island, Florida. The teams got $250,000 this time around to transform these waterfront homes into big-money homes. This was the closest season of any on the show, with Lamb and Davis winning thanks to some unique additions to their home. They added solar panels, backup batteries, a sauna, a cold plunge pool, and climate-controlled wine storage. These additions ensured that they won by the smallest totals of any season of the show. Davis explained the solar panels (viaHGTV):
“Sometimes the value is in the things you’re able to’t see, and the solar panels were the best move we could have ever made. An elevator or an extra bedroom — sure, all of those things in our competitors’ homes added value — but Florida allows you to sell solar energy back to the state. We knew this would play big with the appraisers. Giving buyers an income source on their home was untouchable to anything anyone else put into their homes. It was our power move from the beginning.”
Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis are sisters, and they are still going strong with their HGTV seriesUnsellable Houses.
Who Deserved To Win Season 5?
Interestingly,Bryan and Sarah Baeumler did everything they needed to win for the second season in a rowbut still fell short. Their loss in season 4 seemed fair, considering what Boyd and Elle did. However, they really should have won this season. Lamb and Davis only won one weekly competition (backyard/pool), while the Baeumlers won three competitions (living room, surprise bedroom, exterior). Saran and Bryan even had the most leftover money but lost theRock the Blockfinal appraisal by only $20,000.
