The Sims 4’s Neighborhoods Still Have A Huge Immersion-Breaking Problem
The Sims 4’s neighborhoods still have a huge immersion-breaking problem that only exists because of an outdated restriction that shouldn’t be there.
There are six quests in total over the next three weeks, each with one or two unique rewards. Perhaps the most exciting of these is the new Grouchtrait that players can give their Simsto turn them into a bona fide Scrooge. This distribution method of new content is itself festive, as it acts almost like a digital Advent calendar, slowly doling out new items each week to get players excited for the holidays.

The Sims 4 Is Celebrating A Wide Range Of Holiday Traditions
The Sims 4 Is Including Holiday Celebrations From Around The Globe
In addition toThe Sims 4’s holiday quests and new items, the game is also introducinga series of new holiday traditions, inspired by celebrations from around the globe. The first region of the world being highlighted is Eastern Europe through the addition of two new recipes, Mămăligă and Mucenici. There is also a new line of Romanian-inspired clothes that players can dress their Sims in to complete the cultural celebration.
Sims 4’s 10 Best Neighborhoods To Live In, Ranked
There are various neighborhoods in which to live in The Sims 4, but some are definitely better than others. Here is every neighborhood, ranked.
Mămăligă is something of a staple food in Romania and other Eastern European countries, making it the perfect choice for a holiday celebration. It is often found at celebrations during this time of the year, as well as during weddings, funerals, or other special occasions. Mucenici, on the other hand, is more closely associated with a single celebration of the same name. This pastry is part of the March 9th feast of the 40 Martyrs of Sebaste.

Although Mucenici takes place at the tail end of winter, it corresponds to a new agricultural year and still fits the bill for a holiday expansion.
Though they have yet to be announced, there will be other holiday traditions players can experience in the coming weeks. TheSims 4update page describes them as “global tradition[s]” and also makes sure to wish happy holidays to “Simmers around the world.” This would indicate that the upcoming holiday traditions will likely take inspiration from other parts of the globe that haven’t yet been represented in previousThe Sims 4expansions likeSeasonsor theHoliday CelebrationPack.
