Epic Games has revealed that the OGFortniteexperience is making a comeback, and not just for a limited time. Due to the feedback and surge in players during the OG event, Epic has decided to bring the original experience back, and this time it’s here to stay.
In a recent X post from the officialFortniteaccount, Epic revealed thatplayers will be able to enjoy the original map, in addition to the original loot and seasons. The X post boldly proclaims “This. Is. Not. A. Drill.” The nostalgic revisiting of the original version of the game that started it all willlaunch on December 6.

More details will likely be revealed shortly about what, exactly, will be included in the OGFortniteexperience. Until then, a leak fromShiinabron X indicates that the release will include chapters 1-10, which will rotate on a monthly basis. The OG title will also allegedly have a loot pool of only items from the first 10 chapters and will support both Builds and Zero Builds.

Our Take: Fortnite Has Grown A Lot But Sometimes Simpler Is Better
Return To What Works Is A Great Idea
Fortnitehas grown so much over the past eight years, expanding from its original premise into a massive,ever-growing neon-colored behemoth. This growth is necessary, especially considering the game’s seasonal model, which requires new content to be added every month to keep fans engaged (and paying). Not every change or addition has been welcome, though, and a fewrecent choices by Epic Gameshave left many fans disgruntled and unhappy.
The return to the original version ofFortnitemay be just what the game needed to bring back what Epic already knows works. Last year’s event may have been a way to test the waters and see whether there’s actual demand forFortniteOG. The overwhelmingly positive response has given Epic a reason to bring the classic chapters back as a core part of theFortnitegaming experience.
