Nico Robin and Chopper are about to make their live-action debut, but so are two otherOne Piececharacters who I cannot wait to see appear in the Netflix show. One Pieceseason 1ended with Luffy and his friends announcing their dreams out loud as they were about to set sail for the Grand Line. This means thatOne Pieceseason 2will cover the Arabasta saga, although the Arabasta arc itself will not be included and is being saved for the yet-to-be-confirmed season 3.

While not having Arabasta in season 2 can be frustrating,One Piece’s next batch of episodes will have plenty of interesting stuff to go through. This includes the live-action debuts of Robin and Chopper, two of the most importantOne Piececharacterswho were not part of the story during the East Blue saga. Chopper’s CGI will surely be a challenge, but I’m also curious to see how the Netflix show will portray the giants from Little Garden.

I Can’t Wait To See What Dorry And Brogy Will Look Like In Live-Action

Dorry And Brogy Should Be A Fun Part Of One Piece Season 2

As much as I can’t wait to see Robin and Chopper in live-action, the two characters I’m most intrigued to meet in season 2 are Dorry and Brogy. These two giants from Elbaph were introduced during Little Garden, one of thearcsOne Pieceseason 2 will cover. While we eventually learn more about them and where they come from,Dorry and Brogy are introduced as best friends who had an argument 100 years ago and have been fighting over it since. It is a hilarious premise for two characters that perfectly illustrate whatOne Pieceis.

One Pieceseason 2 will include the Loguetown arc, which was supposed to be in season 1 but ended up not being included.

The giants Dorry and Brogy fight with trees below them in One Piece.

Of course,Dorry and Brogy appearing inOne Pieceseason 2 begs the question of how the Netflix show will portray these two giants. The first season of the live-action show was clever with how it combined practical and visual effects, often finding creative shortcuts whenever it had to adapt something that would not quite work in live-action. Still, I can’t think of too many workarounds when it comes to depicting two giants fighting each other. Even if the characters are not created with CGI and are actually played by actors, doing Dorry and Brogy won’t be easy.

One Piece Season 2 Will Have To Be Clever With How It Portrays The Giants

A Live-Action TV Show Can Only Do So Much After All

The tricky thing about Brogy and Dorry inOne Pieceis that not only are they giants, but they also have to fight each other in the middle of a story that is not really about them. The Straw Hat pirates run into these two giants in Little Garden, where they also come to face Mr. 3 and learn Works. Dorry and Brogy are caught in the crossfire, meaning they play an important role in a key part of the Arabasta saga. Therefore, it’s difficult to imagineOne Pieceseason 2 without them.

Two giants fighting while Luffy faces a pirate who uses wax as a weapon is just one of many challenges Netflix’sOne Piecewill face as the show advances.

One Pieceseason 1 did take some significant liberties from the source materialand left a couple of important characters out of the show. For example, while Don Krieg showed up, he only appeared as a cameo and never made it to the Baratie. Brogy and Dorry might have a smaller role in the live-action series compared to the manga, regardless of how many episodesOne Pieceseason 2 will dedicate to Little Garden. Cutting the giants altogether would not work, though, especially because they later return to the story on more than one occasion.

Giants Fighting Each Other Is One Of Many Challenges That Await Netflix’s One Piece

Things Will Only Get More Complicated For One Piece

Two giants fighting while Luffy faces a pirate who uses wax as a weapon is just one of many challenges Netflix’sOne Piecewill face as the show advances. Part of the fun of reading or watchingOne Pieceis discovering new corners of that world and the people who inhabit it, a list that ranges from giants and Fish-Men to cyborgs and demons. One Piecehas a lot of larger-than-life characters who would require visual effects and prosthetics to be portrayed on screen, including heroes and villains who cannot possibly be left out of the Netflix adaptation.

After One Piece Season 2, Everyone Will Finally Understand Why One Mysterious Character Has Annoyed Fans For Over 25 Years

One Piece season 2 will introduce a new character to Netflix’s live-action series - a character that has routinely frustrated fans for over 25 years.

Franky, Brook, and Jinbe are just some of the characters we have yet to meet in the live-action show that will be incredibly difficult to pull off. If Netflix’sOne Pieceruns for enough seasons, I’m especially curious to see how these three future Straw Hat pirates will look in live-action form. That said,One Pieceseason 1 made a lot of good choices visually and thematically, and I’m confident the rest of the show will continue to be a clever yet faithful adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga.
