If I could give the town a red card and kick [the creatures] out of the game, I would. It’s like a red card; that’s too far! It’s too far! You guys are out. You’re out of the game. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, it’s hurtful and heavy, but I think it’s all the stuff that the audience is going to really, really love. But it’s a nasty piece of business. It really, really is. It’s bad for Boyd, and it lasts the whole season. It’s nasty. That’s how I can describe it.

From Season 3 Review: Horrifying MGM+ Show Delivers Shocking Revelations & Most Gruesome Scene Ever

From season 3 deepens the show’s central mystery while featuring twisted new events and brutal, memorable scenes, elevating the MGM+ horror series.

Because the monsters were willing to trick the residents to ensure they could kill Tian-Chen in front of Boyd, it seems they’ll be orchestrating even more events that will drive people out of their homes at night. These could potentially be in relation to thefallout from Kenny’s mom dying, or related to a different storyline altogether, like Jim (Eion Bailey) searching for his wife, Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno). No matter how the creatures' plans connect to other ongoing mysteries,it seems the sheriff will be facing the brunt of their anger.
