With the most recent leak, some previous speculations about Capitano may be proven wrong. The character was expected to take on an antagonistic role like Arlecchino, but not an entirely villainous one like Dottore, for instance. This is becauseCapitano was expected to become playable and complete villains have not yet been made playable in the game– as such, there was some expectation that Capitano would at least have some alignment with good and that he could find common ground with the Traveler inGenshin Impact.
There were even some leaks about him that mentioned Capitano “abhorred evil,” further indicating his positive moral stance, even among a morally ambiguous mercenary group. If he does not become playable after all, he may be more evil than originally predicated by leaks. Contrarily, Capitano’s release as a playable character may have been pushed beyond Natlan’s year of content into Version 6.0 and beyond sincehe is related to Snezhnaya due to his allegiance to the Fatui and the TsaritsainGenshin Impact.
Columbina, on the other hand, may not be as evil as some of her colleaguesamong the Harbingers. In a sense, if she is truly becoming playable as predicted by the leak, she may be morally ambiguous like Arlecchino or Childe, for instance. This does not mean she does not commit atrocities, but there may be some noble explanation for her actions. If she is to be released during Natlan’s year of content, it is likely it will occur in an advanced 5.x version, like Arlecchino in Version 4.6.
Columbina is the Third Fatui Harbinger, one rank above Arlecchino, meaning she is even stronger than the Knave.
These are extremely early and translated leaks, so they should be taken with extreme caution, as not everything may be true, and a lot is still subject to change. Nevertheless, it does make sense if Capitano’s release as a playable character as well as other Fatui gets pushed back into the following year, which will take players to Snezhnaya – especially now that it seems like their goals somewhat align with the Traveler’s.
