Godzilla x Kong: The New Empirestar Dan Stevens addresses whether he is open to reprising the role of Trapper in future Monsterverse movies. Following the events ofGodzilla Vs. Kong, the two titular titans are forced to join forces in hopes of repelling a threat from deep within the Earth’s surface. In the movie, Travis “Trapper” Beasley is an easy-going veterinarian happy to assist all titans with their health needs, though he is soon swept into the fateful Hollow Earth expedition. In an interview withInverse, Stevens addressed whether he is open to further adventures in the franchise following the events ofGodzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Praising incoming director Grant Sputore, the actor revealedthat he was more than eager to return as Trapper in any future movie, feeling that the character held plenty of potential for further exploration in a follow-up story. “I think Grant is a great choice. He’s a really lovely filmmaker and I loved playing Trapper.
I think there’s many more adventures that you could get out of him so we’re just going to have to see. know that they’re currently just ideating the whole next thing, so we’ll wait and see if Trapper makes a return or not.”
