At the moment,March 7th (Hunt)’s Shifu mechanic interacts with the seven playable Paths. When she chooses a character on the Path of the Erudition, Destruction, or Hunt as her Shifu, she deals additional DMG equal to a portion of her ATK when hitting with her Basic ATK or Enhanced Basic ATK. If the Shifu is on the Path of the Harmony, Nihility, Preservation, or Abundance, the Toughness Reduction of her instance of DMG is increased by 100%. According to a leak by HomDGCat, March 7th (Hunt)’s Shifu mechanic will work withRemembrance characters inHonkai: Star Rail, too.

The leak was shared in a post onReddit. According to the leak, the Shifu mechanic will treat Remembrance characters like those on the Paths of the Erudition, Destruction, and Hunt. As such,if the leak proves to be true, March 7th (Hunt) should deal extra DMG to opponents when her targeted ally is on the Path of the Remembrance. With eight playable Paths, now each side of the Shifu mechanic will embrace four different possible Paths.

Based on the leak, it seems like Remembrance characters may be considered DPS units for the purposes of the Shifu buff in March 7th (Hunt)’s gameplay kit. Up until now, the Shifu mechanic had mostly made a clear division between DPS units and support characters – with Nihility being something of an exception because of Kafka andAcheron inHonkai: Star Rail, who are both Nihility DPS characters. Even so, that distinction was mostly clear. So far, it seems likeRemembrance will be a versatile Path, with characters occupying different team comp roles based on what their memosprites do.

While players who skip The Herta in Honkai: Star Rail may miss out on some abilities, there’s an item that may compensate players who don’t have her.
If the leak is true, then the division between DPS and supports for March 7th (Hunt)’s Shifu mechanic may soon come to an end and players will need to know which Paths grant which buffs rather than considering which characters play which roles in parties. For now, however, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, as the information may be incorrect or subject to change.
