A new 5-star Herta form inHonkai: Star Railhas allegedly been leaked and, based on the early outline of her gameplay kit, she may be a game-changer for several types of team comps. Herta is already a well-known figure in the turn-based RPG by HoYoverse as she is presented within the first few hours of gameplay, both as an important NPC and a (F2P) free-to-play 4-star character. As seen in new condensed information shared by the leaker known as HomDGCat, which was then posted onReddit,Herta may gain a new 5-star form in the distant future. According to the leak, this new playable character will be Herta’s true form rather than one of her puppets. The leak mentions that this will be an entirely separate playable character from the standard Herta. The leaker compares the 5-star Herta to Imbibitor Lunae, which is Dan Heng’s 5-star form, instead of an alternative Path that the already existing 4-star Herta is capable of swapping to.

The Rumors Indicate She Does Not Change Her Path Or Her Element
If the leak is true, this means that the new Herta form will not be likeMarch 7th (Hunt) inHonkai: Star Rail, which is simply a swappable form for the classic character. This means treating the rumored 5-star Herta like an entirely separate character, independently Ascending and leveling her and working on her build. Aside from that, the leak also goes into the new Herta’s rumored gameplay kit.The leak mentions that the 5-star Herta should be a 5-star Ice character who follows the Erudition, which is exactly the same Path and element that her 4-star version follows.
However, the leaker mentions that they are unable to confirm if 5-star Herta will continue to be an Ice character.With her leaked Skill, Herta is capable of striking multiple opponents at once. When used, she allegedly adds Mark to a single target and detonates it, dealing damage to the opponent and adjacent targets. This then spreads Mark to the adjacent targets, which detonates all Marks once again, dealing damage and spreading Marks to more adjacent targets without the Mark, detonating, dealing damage, and removing the Marks inHonkai: Star Rail.

The Marks are only removed with the final detonation, meaning the first target will take damage from all Mark detonations – HomDGCat mentions that this represents 7 instances of damage.The leak also highlights 5-star Herta’s Ultimate, which allegedly deals DMG to all targets and grants her stacks of Buff. When she uses her Skill, the rumored 5-star Herta consumes a stack of Buff to deal extra DMG to all the targets afflicted by her Skill.
Additionally, via her leaked Passive, Herta is said to restore Energy and gain ATK buffs when allies use their Ultimates inHonkai: Star Rail.
Lastly, the leak mentions her other Traces grant her CRIT DMG and a DMG multiplier to the first Mark detonation of her Skill, with her Technique increasing ATK upon entering battle. These leaks seem to hint that 5-star Herta will be a superb multi-target striker, even if she is even better at destroying single opponents (the first ones to be targeted by her Mark with every Skill usage). It is uncertain exactly how this will translate into true gameplay value, but, for now, 5-star Herta seems like a significant improvement to her 4-star version.
