The latest August update inDisney Dreamlight Valleybrought new quests in the base game and expansion, A Rift In Time. The update for A Rift In Time, titled “A Rift In Time Act III,” has players venturing intoJafar’s palace to confront the evil wizardafter he stole theSpark of Imaginationin the previous act.
Before players can confront Jafar, they must complete a series of puzzles and quests tofind a key. A few rooms into Jafar’s palace, players will meet a raven that Jafar has dubbed “Annoying Nuisance.” Annoying Nuisance will help in the quest to find the key, but first, it will need to be fed. As simple as that may sound, players will haveno recipe to go offbut instead a clue of what ingredients to use to make the dish.

How To Find The Right Ingredients In Jafar’s Laboratory
You Need Both Rotten And Fresh Ingredients
When first arriving in Jafar’s Laboratory in thelatestDisney Dreamlight Valleyupdate, you’ll notice a platform with a raven. Head up the stairs andapproach the raven. The raven, Annoying Nuisance, will convey that he is hungry. To progress, you’ll need to cook him a meal and feed him. Annoying Nuisance doesn’t give you any recipe, but you’re able to find a hint about what ingredients to use. Head to the right and look at the note on the desk. The note referencesfresh vegetables and rotten seafood.
Now that you know what ingredients to use, head to the table to the right, where you’ll find the ingredients you need — except everything is fresh, the seafood included. The recipe calls for fresh vegetables and rotten seafood. Go ahead andpick up a ripe carrot and a ripe tomato. To get the rotten seafood, head to the giant hourglass and interact with it. Head back to the table and grab therotten fish and rotten clam.

How To Cook Four-Star Bird Food & Feed Annoying Nuisance
A Four-Star Recipe Fit For A Bird
With all the ingredients in your inventory,head to the stovenext to the supply table. Interact with the stove and add in the fresh and rotten ingredients. Aftercooking five-star recipes, this should be nothing.Cook the meal, leaving you with a four-star bird food dish. Return to Annoying Nuisance and give him the meal.
Annoying Nuisance will exclaim that it’s “better than Jafar’s food” before giving you a “shiny thing” instead of a key as seen inQuick Tips' video. After confronting Annoying Nuisance, the raven will explain that the “shiny thing” will help you find the key. Now that you’ve fed the raven and can progress, it’s time to find the key inDisney Dreamlight Valleyto progress to the final quest in Act III, “The Now and Then.”
The “shiny thing” is a power coil that can be inserted into the wall on the lower level, granting you access to the key.
