The Masked Singerseason 13’sGroup B contestant Space Ranger was unmasked duringGhostbustersNight, and he was revealed to be Grammy-nominated music legend, Public Enemy founding member, and TV personality, Flavor Flav.The Masked Singerseason 13 welcomed back host Nick Cannon, along with panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora. During the Group B premiere on Voices of Olympus: Unmasking of the Gods Night, Flavor Flav was joined by his fellow contestants, Bat (Scheana Shay), and Griffin, Boogie Woogie, and Pearl, who all now have advanced to the Group B finals on Grand Ole Opry Night.
DuringThe Masked Singerseason 13Voices of Olympus: Unmasking of the Gods Night, Flavor Flav sang an exciting rendition of Taylor Swift’s hit song, “Bad Blood.“It was the first time that a Taylor Swift song had ever been performed on the show. DuringGhostbustersNight, Flavor Flav sang a crowd-pleasing version of “Cleanin' Up the Town” by the Busboys.
During Flavor Flav’s first episode, he stumped all of the panelists, who guessed that he might be comedian Tracy Morgan (Jenny and Robin), boxer Floyd Mayweather (Ken), or actor Marlon Wayans (Rita). However, Nick had a good idea of who Space Ranger might be. Before Space Ranger’s unmasking onGhostbustersNight,Robin, Jenny, Rita, and Nick realized that he was definitely Flavor Flav, but Ken still doubled down on his guess of DJ Jazzy Jeff.

“There’s Nothing In This World That You Can’t Do…”
Flavor Flav revealed that becoming Space RangerduringThe Masked Singerseason 13 wasn’t easy for him. He said,“It was very challenging to become Space Ranger. It was something that I had a challenge to pull off ‘cause the costume was so big. But I said to myself, ‘There’s nothing in this world that you can’t do.’ And I think I did a good job at pulling that costume off. I had a lot of fun being behind that mask. It was great.”

Flavor Flav then expressed his great appreciation to Taylor for allowing him to perform “Bad Blood.” He said,“So I thank Taylor Swift and her team for clearing that song for me, and I’m honored to be the first person on The Masked Singer to perform a Taylor Swift song. That’s bragging rights to me right there. And I don’t think that they’re gonna ever clear another Taylor Swift song. I don’t know. Unless I come back [laughs].”
Flavor Flav Thinks That He Was Eliminated From The Masked Singer Too Early
“I Felt Kind Of Cheated…”
Flavor Flav shared that he did have a song selected for theThe Masked Singerseason 13 Group B finals on Grand Ole Opry Night, but he didn’t want to reveal it becausehe felt that it was irrelevant because he was eliminated. He said,“After ‘Bad Blood,’ then I did the Ghostbusters Night [song], ‘Cleanin’ Up the Town,’ which was one of my most challenging songs ever. And there was a third song for me to perform if I would have stuck around. But I’m not gonna even talk about that third song. And the reason why is because it’s irrelevant now. I didn’t get to do it. You know what I’m saying?”
Flavor Flav then talked about how he felt that he waseliminated fromThe Masked Singerseason 13 too early, and, because of that,he felt cheated out of his experience. He said,“They gave me away too easily. I got booted off too early. I felt kind of cheated. And the reason why I felt kind of cheated is because Masked Singer is something that I’ve always wanted to do. And it was on my bucket list.”
