Im Si-wan’sSquid Gameseason 2 character’s relationship with Jo Yu-ri’s Kim Jun-hee is one of the most memorable character beats in the Netflix Korean series. While both characters survive the first set of games, it is hard not to believe thatKim Jun-hee’s pregnancy story inSquid Gameseason 2will end with tragedy. When Im Si-wan’s Lee Myung-gi first arrives at thegames inSquid Gameseason 2, he raises his voice against the guards and asks them to return his phone. He flaunts that he has invested a lot of money in the stock market and must consistently keep an eye on his financial growth. To his embarrassment, the guards reveal the truth about his financial situation by showing a video in which he gets slapped by the Salesman during the recruitment ddakji game for a small amount of money.

The coin eventually turned out to be a scam when its creators took all the invested money and fled. As a result, Myung-gi and many others, like his girlfriend, Jun-hee, and rapper Thanos, lost millions after investing hefty sums on the coin.

Myung-gi’s offer makes Jun-hee realize thateven after losing so much money in his quest to get rich quickly, he has not learned his lessons. She rejects him by telling him she would like to keep her winnings to herself and raise her child alone. After the interaction, Myung-gi realizes what he has done. However, before he can redeem himself inSquid Gameseason 2, the weight of his actions significantly damages his relationship with Jun-hee.
