The release date forInside Out’s upcoming spinoff series,Dream Productions, has been revealed. The spinoff was teased following the record-breaking box-office success ofInside Out 2but was in development long before the sequel’s theatrical debut.Dream Productions' storytakes place between the first and second movies and will explore the process behind how the dreams of Riley (Kensington Tallman) are made, building on a memorable sequence from the originalInside Out.

PerPixar,Dream Productionswill come to Disney+ on December 11. As confirmed in the teaser trailer, it is a four-episode limited series that will be told in a mockumentary style featuring Riley’s five original emotions of Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Tony Hale), and Disgust (Liza Lapira). The episodes will also focus on director Paula Persimmon (Paula Pell), who is assigned to create Riley’s next hit dream when paired up with an arrogant director, Xeni (Richard Ayoade).
