Speaking withCollider,Booth spoke about his “fun”new fairy character and his onscreen sister Nuala, played by Skelly. Admitting that the secrecy surrounding the project prevents him from revealing too much aboutThe Sandmanseason 2, the actor did suggest thatthe show’s intricate world-building has levelled up from season 1. Booth also praised series lead Sturridge, describing his continued tenure as Morpheus as “brilliant.” Check out his comments below:

So, I play the Cluracan, and he’s a really fun character to play. I had so much fun with him. Ann Skelly was brilliant as Nuala. There’s not much I can say because I’ve never been on a project where they’re so secretive, and they make you sign so many things. But what I can tell you is the world-building is brilliant. It’s gone up a level even from series one. And all the additional cast is fantastic. Tom [Sturridge] is brilliant. […]
Tom’s a friend of mine. I’ve had a movie here at TIFF with him before, but he transforms, he literally floats across that set. He kind of does, I don’t even know where. He doesn’t hang out. You know, he’s a really friendly guy. We go to the pub and watch football every weekend, but on set he’s nowhere, and he just appears on set and floats across, and he really has a great presence. They have a great supporting cast, and it’s dark, and it’s entertaining, and it looks incredible. So, I hope you guys like it when it comes, but it’s looking great.

The Sandman’s Newest Characters Explained
Netflix’s Hit Fantasy Is Set To Delve Deeper Into The Comic’s Lore
As a show in which mythological figures rub shoulders with the anthropomorphic personifications of abstract concepts like Dream and Despair,The Sandmanseason 1 introduced viewers to a richly detailed and intricate fantasy world. With the show already traversing multiple realms and introducing several of Dream’s fellow Endless, Booth’s claims of season 2’s enhanced world-building may seem rather bold. However, the show’s notably expanded cast roster suggests amuch deeper exploration of the comic’s expansive lore.
The Sandman Season 2 Cast & Character Guide
The Sandman is returning to Netflix for a season 2 and here are all the known cast members for the new season and where viewers know them from.
In addition toThe Sandmanseason 2 introducing three new Endlessin the form of Destiny (Lester), the Prodigal (Sloane), and Delirium (Creed-Miles),the series will also begin to delve into both Celtic and Norse mythology, with characters being drawn from both traditions. Booth’s own Cluracan, along with his sister Nuala, both appear in the original comic’sSeason of Mistsarc and hail from the realm of Faerie, or the Twilight Realm.
Meanwhile, Odin (Russell), Thor (O’Fuarain), and Loki (Fox), who also made their own comic debut during theSeason of Mistsarc, are set to make their own appearances inThe Sandmanseason 2. Whether this could potentially indicate that season 2 will see Gwendoline Christie’s Lucifer abdicate the throne of Hell, as happens duringSeason of Mists, remains to be seen. However, the show’s much expanded cast roster could certainly point to that being the case.
