The veteran franchise will return to NBC on the same night, withLaw & Orderseason 24 debuting on Thursday, October 3 at 8 PM EST. It’ll be followed byLaw & Order: SVUseason 26 and will be available to stream on Peacock the next day. But that’s not the only project that Eggold has lined up. He’ll also appear inCross, the upcoming crime drama led by Aldis Hodge, which is based on the popular James Patterson novels. It consists of eight episodes, premiering November 14 on Prime Video.
Law & Order: Organized Crimeseason 5 has been moved from NBC and will stream exclusively on Peacock.
There is also aNew Amsterdamsequel seriesin the works, focused on Max’s daughter, which sets up the stage for Eggold to reprise his lead role. Although not much is yet known about the project, it is beingNew Amsterdamcreator David Schulner, and it is still in development. However, Eggold’s turn onLaw & Orderseason 24 will be a little different.
In the role of Detective Vince Riley, Reid Scott joinedLaw & Orderonly recently as a replacement for thedeparting Jeffrey Donovan. Seeing his brother may be a chance to flesh out the character. However, given the history of the NBC show, it may be the case that Eggold will be playing a criminal, leading to a familial conflict.
