League of Legends Americas Tier 2 schedule 2025
Here is the schedule for 2025. According to Riot Games, the League of Legends Americas Tier 2 season aligns with the second and third Tier 1 splits.
League of Legends Americas Tier 2 format 2025
In terms of the 2025 format, the first Tier 2 competitive split features Fearless Draft for each series. This includes a single round-robin best-of-three (Bo3) regular season plus double-elimination playoffs. As for the second Tier 2 competitive split, it includes a shorter regular season under the single round-robin best-of-one (Bo1) format and double-elimination playoffs.

Promotion Tournament and guest slot team explained
According to Riot Games, the guest slot gives the top Tier 2 teams the chance to enter tournaments such as First Stand, MSI, and Worlds. The top two teams from each Tier 2 league must also duke it out in the Promotion Tournament against the Tier 1 team that holds the guest slot.
“The best teams from Split 2 Playoffs will qualify for the Tier 1 Promotion Tournament. Split 2 will not feature Fearless Draft to ensure parity between Tier 1 and Tier 2 heading into the Promotion Tournament,“Riot Games explained.
League of Legends Americas Tier 2 teams
The Tier 2 leagues are split into the North and South conferences. The first conference includes the North America Challengers League (NACL) and the Liga Regional Norte (LRN). Meanwhile, the South conference features the Circuito Desafiante (CD) and the Liga Regional Sur (LRS). Below are all of the teams going into 2025.
More Tier 2 details
In terms of the residency rules in 2025, they arethe same as the ones from Tier 1. League of Legends teams can have up to two non-residents and one Americas non-resident player. However, when it comes to team policies, there are some updates to the academy and affiliate teams due to the aforementioned Tier 1 guest slot.
