Audiences Are Still Yet To Learn Who Will Play He-Man’s Arch-Nemesis

Brie’s casting as Evil-Lyn not only points toward increased momentum on the often-delayedMasters of the Universereboot, but it also provides an interesting counterpoint to the announcement of Mendes as Teela. Often considered to be Teela’s direct counterpart, Evil-Lyn’s original action figure was even identical to Teela’s except for her color scheme and head. However, with Mendes’ Teela now receiving her own nemesis,Masters of the Universefans will likely begin wonderingwhen the franchise’s main antagonist will be revealed.

Many fans have even gone so far as to suggest that casting the role of Skeletor may necessitate selecting an established and well-known actor to do the role justice.

Initially played by Frank Langella in the 1987 movie,Skeletor’s first live-action appearance was widely considered the high pointin an adaptation that otherwise fell flat with audiences and critics alike. As such, whoever director Travis Knight selects as his Skeletor will likely have a daunting task ahead of them in bringing such an iconic villain to life. With the newMasters of the Universereboot currently eyeing a June 2026 release date, it is likely that audiences will increasingly begin to learn more about which actors are being selected to take on the franchise’s assortment of iconic characters. However, aside from the role of Prince Adam himself, few casting decisions are likely to generate the same kind of pre-release buzz as Skeletor’s. With three key roles already filled, such an announcement could likely be just around the proverbial corner.
