Marvels' Avengers Get A New Look As They Prepare To Face The Deadly Xenomorph Threat
The Avengers’ new costumes look like a colorful spin on the suits seen in the newestAlienprequel films.
In the brief synopsis ofAliens vs. Avengers #2, it has been revealed thatthe Xenomorphs have come to Earth, and the Avengers, almost obviously, won’t stand a chance. As Earth falls to the alien threat, the remaining survivors of the gruesome onslaught will have to flee the planet to come up with a new plan to avenge their fallen. The Avengers have had to take to the stars more times than anyone can count. Whether it be Thanos, the Multiverse, or the ongoing conflicts with the Kree and Skrulls, the Avengers have seen it all.

The team of heroes have had super suits built for travel in space before but the Avengers’ new costumes look like a colorful spin on the suits seen inthe newestAlienprequel films. Unlike the original films’ suits, which looked more accurate to the actual clothing astronauts wear, theAlienprequel-era outfits are sleeker, meshing together a padded bodysuit with pieces of armor adorned on top. Likewise, the Avengers look to be taking a similar approach in theupcoming comic crossover series, showing off how strongly Marvel is willing to embrace the modernAlienaesthetic.
Marvel’s “ALIEN VS. AVENGERS” Promises An Interstellar Grudge Match
An All-Time Comic Crossover In The Making
Clad in patches of rigid armor atop padded, yet flimsy, looking suits, the Avengers look just about as ready for the upcoming terror as any other character from anAlienmovie.
Crossovers are always good and fun, and it’s amazing to see both theAlienandPredatorfranchisesactively engaging with Marvel properties, but it’s when one property fully embraces the aesthetic of another that it shows a deeper appreciation of both from the creators behind the amalgamated tale. Marvel is known for having bright and flashy colors that pop on the page, whileAlien’s tone is both sleekly futuristic and grungily dark. On the cover forAliens vs. Avengers#2,Captain America, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel fully embrace an updated look that places them perfectly in the currentAlienaesthetic.

Clad in patches of rigid armor atop padded, yet flimsy, looking suits, the Avengers look just about as readyfor the upcoming terror as any other character from anAlienmovie. Realistically though, whether their upgraded look going to give theman advantage against the Xenomorphsremains to be determined. However, tactical consideration aside, it’s amazing to see the genuine love for theAlienfranchise in Esad Ribić’s artistry. Whether theAvengers’redesigned costumes will protect them or not, blood will pour and chests will burst when theAlienscome to Marvel later this year.
Aliens vs. Avengers #1will be available July 03, 2025 from Marvel Comics.
