My Hero Academia’sToga Himikois one of the most talented members of the League of Villains, as well as one of the most intriguing, fan-favorite characters in the entire series. From her distinctive character design, fairly friendly personality despite working with villains,blood Transform Quirk, and brave sacrifice,she really stands out among the members of the League.
@tendo_reihas cosplayed this villain turned heroine flawlessly, providing a wonderful portrayal of the character that is so accurate, it looks as if it could be a frame taken straight from the anime itself. They are wearing Toga’s signature cream colored sweater with a red tie around the neck that drapes down the front of the top.
The collar peeking out from beneath their sweater is navy and white striped, matching the navy skirt Toga also wears. They are also wearing simple black socks and black leather shoes to complete the character’sfairly unassuming outfit that does not appear villainous on its own.

@tendo_rei’s hair is blonde and tied into two space buns on top of their head with short bangs in front and two pieces of hair that cascade down around the bangs. Finally, the cosplayer is even sporting a pair of fang teeth that match Toga’s own sharp teeth. Toga’svampire-like teeth make sense considering her affinity for bloodand how the substance is a necessary part of her Quirk. To take on somebody’s physical appearance and disguise herself as them, Toga takes the victim’s blood and drinks it to harness this power and become someone else for a short time.

Although at first glance, she appears to be an average teenage girl,Toga’s deceptive skill is extraordinarily helpful to the League of Villains, allowing her to trick even the mightiest heroes by appearing exactly like someone they already trust. In the cosplay, @tendo_rei makes playful facial expressions, such as smiling happily and sticking their tongue out in a silly way. These emotions fit Toga’s attitude inMy Hero Academiaperfectly, since she is a mischievous but usually grinning and joyful character. Sadly, the League took advantage of Toga and turned her to evil, but she proved herself to be a good person.

Her redemption came too late unfortunately and since she traded her own life for Ochaco Uraraka’s, she ultimately did not survive the battle.Toga’s story is a painful reminderof how manipulative Shigaraki and the League of Villains are, but her selfless act proved they did not completely destroy her moral compass.
