Who is the Ultimate Black Cat? Guest artist David Messina returns as tensions rise between Spider-Man and Green Goblin in the wake of recent events! And a new villain steps up to the plate! What is her connection to the Black Cat on Kingpin’s Sinister Six?
Instead of her more fluffy costume with stark white hair, this Black Cat is a brand-new look. She now has a black latex suit, very reminiscent of Catwoman, and she has darker skin and wild black hair, instead of her traditional snow-white hair. The frizz of it is also remarkably similar to early designs of Elektra, who plays a similar femme fatale role to Daredevil’s character.

A New Universe Means New Designs For Everyone
Ultimate Spider-Man#11 by Jonathan Hickman, David Messina, Matt Wilson, and Cory Petit
The establishment of a new Ultimate Universe has allowed creators to get inventive with how characters are going to look in this continuity. Instead of going with the normal Earth-616 look, characters can be re-invented in fun new ways. The best example of this is thenew Ultimate Green Goblin. Instead of having a purple tunic and hat,Ultimate Spider-Man’s Green Goblin is using a repurposed Iron Man suit. It’s a fascinating way to give a new take on an old character, and it seems that Black Cat is getting the same treatment, but with an unexpected twist.
It seems this new Black Cat might not be the Felecia Hardy fans know and love.In fact, it may not be Felicia at all. As the plot description points out, Kingpin’s new version of the Sinister Six hasaBlack Cat on its roster. So, fans are left wondering who this Black Cat is and what her connection is to a mysterious new villain Spider-Man is chasing. This version of the Ultimate Universe was created by the Maker to remove all heroes. It’s possible that this version of the Black Cat is more of an outright villain than the complicated antihero who exists in the main Marvel Comics continuity.

This Black Cat Is Unlike Anything Fans Have Seen Before
Currently, there are tons of unanswered questions about the Black Cat featured on this cover and what her story is. But considering that the Peter Parker of this universe is happily married, the Black Cat might not be the romantic interest/ally that she is on Earth-616. Instead, she might be a much more deadly villain than ever before, not just for Peter’s life, but possibly for his marriage, as well. Either way, thisBlack Catwill be unlike anythingSpider-Manor fans have seen before.
