A game akin toLeague of Legendsmay not be the first idea that comes to mind, which makes this surprise reveal all the more interesting.

What To Expect From Dragon Ball Project: Multi
Will Fans Take To This MOBA?
When it comes to playstyles,Project: Multiwill allow players to choose a hero that serves as an “effective super aggressive damage” dealer, a persistent tank that’s able to soak up enemy attacks, and a “technical role” that focuses on supporting allies and disrupting enemies. Some of the combatants spotlighted in the trailer include Piccolo, Krillin, Trunks, and, of course, Goku himself. The full size of the roster is currently unknown but shouldProject: Multigain a following, more fighters will likely be added through seasonal updates.
Bandai Namco has yet to discloseProject: Multi’s monetization model but the game’s description does state that it will sport plenty of cosmetics. These customization options range from simple skin changes to entrance animations and finishing moves, so it’s easy to see these being sold as microtransactions. Whether that will be the case remains to be seen since it’s currently unknown ifthe game will be free-to-play.

The big question surrounding the latestDragon Ballgame is whether or not the community is interested in a MOBA. The genre is incredibly competitive and islargely dominated byDota 2andLeague of Legends, soProject: Multiwill need to compete with the titans of the industry if it wants to succeed. Given that it’s so different from other adaptations of the franchise, it’s difficult to tell whether fans will flock to a newDragon Ballgame that’s not an outright fighting experience.
