Marvel and DC have crossed over a few times, but despite fan demand, readers have yet to seeDaredevilandNightwingshare any on-panel interactions. This lack is a shame, considering both characters have a ton in common — like how they’re both lawyers.

The version of Nightwing that most people know never became a full lawyer — thoughhis law degree is mentioned inNightwing#80by Tom Taylor, Bruno Redondo, Adriano Lucas, and Wes Abbott — butthe original Dick Grayson, who’s actually from Earth-2, did eventually take on the role of a defense attorney. This version of Dick was a lawyer for several years, and he was even an American ambassador.

Comic book panel: Nightwing Dick Grayson and Batgirl/Oracle Barbara Gordon mention having law degrees.

Becoming a lawyer and ambassador were major milestones in Dick’s life and career, and it was a perfect way for the Earth-2 version of Robin to continue protecting innocent people while he wasn’t running around as a vigilante. It was an interesting turn for Dick Grayson’s character, and it seems thatevery version of Dick ends up with some interest in the law, just like Matt Murdock’s Daredevil.

Daredevil & Nightwing Unite, As the Most Demanded Marvel/DC Crossover Gets Photo-Real Fanart

Daredevil: Born Again

Cast

Daredevil: Born Again follows blind lawyer Matt Murdock, who uses his heightened abilities to pursue justice in New York. As he manages a bustling law firm, former mob boss Wilson Fisk navigates political ambitions, leading both men toward a confrontation as their pasts resurface.

Matt Murdock has undeniably done good for New York as Daredevil, but the real change and heroics have always been in the courtroom. While there’s no denying that Matt is an amazing superhero, he’s an even better lawyer.Matt’s skills in the courtroom have changed how heroes can fight crime, and he even helped draft a law allowing heroes to testify without giving uptheir identities in the Marvel Universe.

Meanwhile, Nightwing is one of DC’s greatest heroes and has helped save the world countless times. While Dick has almost entirely protected people as Nightwing, surprisingly, the former Boy Wonder isn’t any stranger to stepping into the courtroom as well, especially onother Earths where Dick Grayson’s life played out a little differently.

Daredevil and Nightwing Would Have a Lot to Discuss

Could These Two Heroes Meet?

While the Earth-0 version of Nightwing never became a full lawyer, that didn’t stop him from getting a law degree. Before the New 52 reboot, there was a period where Dick’s day job was being a police officer, which meant he needed an intimate understanding of the law so he could uphold it. This would be the perfectcareer focus for Nightwing and Daredevil to share. While fans often want the two to meet simply because of their carefree attitudes and fighting styles, their interests are shockingly aligned, with both of them clearly caring about the law.

There’s no denying that Daredevil and Nightwing would be able to bond over things like their style of fighting or their history with abusive and cold mentors, but what would really bring Nightwing and Daredevil together is their shared love of the law.

A lot of superheroes attempt to keep the world safe even in their civilian identities, but very few go as far as Nightwing and Daredevil. These two give everything they have at night to keep the streets safe, and then, during the day, they make sure the law isn’t used to hurt innocent people. There’s no denying that Daredevil and Nightwing would be able to bond over things like their style of fighting or their history with abusive and cold mentors, but what would really bringNightwingandDaredeviltogether is their shared love of the law.
