Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in Canada will not start on August 08, 2025 to align with the timing of pre-orders to be determined in the U.S. Nintendo will provide updated information at a later date. The launch date of July 02, 2025 is unchanged.
The announcement from Nintendo of Canada comes just one day before pre-orders were set to open in Canada andimplies that the new pre-order dates to be determined for the U.S. and Canada will match. Currently, no updated pre-order date has been provided for either region, and the console’s full release date of June 5 has not been changed. Additionally, it’s currently unknown if economic factors will affect the pricing of the Switch 2 in either region, currently $449.99 USD and $629.99 CAD.
