The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomincludes a new gameplay mechanic that allows Zelda to summon copies of items called Echoes. Considering the name of the game, it’s probably not surprising that this is the core mechanic used by Zelda. However, it might be surprising to learn about how overpowered one particular Echo has become in the hands of creative players, similar to the way thatTears of the Kingdomhad abilities that could be used in unexpectedly powerful ways.

Unlike Link, Zelda doesn’t have swordsmanship skills to help her fight the villains inEchoes of Wisdom, so she needs a different way to defeat enemies. Echoes are collected by Zelda during the game, andonce she gathers an Echo, she’s able to use it to summon copies of the item associated with it. In effect, this means that Zelda has access to multiple items at any given time, and she uses that power not only to defeat enemies, but to solve puzzles as well. Just like Ultrahand inTears of the Kingdom, this mechanic rewards creativity.

The Bed Is Overpowered In Echoes Of Wisdom

It’s More Than A Place To Rest

One Echo Zelda can get is the bed, which then lets her summon beds wherever and whenever she needs one. Mundane items, such as empty bottles, have been incredibly useful in pastZeldagames, but Echoes take that to the next level. Of course, the bed can be used to take a rest, and that’s likely the primary purpose behind it. However, players inEoWhave become rather creative with the bed, and it’s nowconsidered one of the most overpowered Echoesin-game.

Zelda can restore her health by resting in a bed as long as it’s in a safe spot.

Aside from allowing Zelda to rest anywhere, the bed is an Echo that can be used to solve most puzzles in the game. This is becausethe bed can act as a platform andgive Zelda a small height boostto help her reach locations that she would normally be too short to reach. Additionally, the bed can be used as a bridge, or multiple beds can be stacked up to create a staircase, which makes it one of thebest early Echoes inZelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Since Zelda can pick up the bed as an Echo fairly early, its potential is even greater than it seems at a glance, because she has access to it for the majority of puzzles in the game. As such, it’seasy for Zelda to skip the intended puzzle solutionsby using beds to hop over walls and obstacles that otherwise block her path. The bed can even be used as abattle Echo by Zelda, as she can spawn them above an enemy’s head, which then deals damage when it falls on that enemy.

How To Get The Bed Echo In Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom

There Are Three Options To Get The Bed

The bed Echoes that are available for Zelda to learn include:

Of these three, the Old Bed is the one she’ll come across first, finding it in the Hyrule Castle Underground sectionwhile working on the Mysterious Rifts quest. It costs one Triangle to summon. Next is the Soft Bed, which costs two Triangles to summon and can be found in the Tough Mango Plant Lab in the Oasis. Then, Zelda’s Bed is the best version of this Echo, and the last of the three she’ll learn.

Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom’s NPCs Are Even Dumber Than TOTK’s

Most NPCs found throughout Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom don’t seem too quick on the uptake, but it might ultimately be for the betterment of the game.

Zelda’s Bed costs three Triangles to summon, and it’s not available until afterbeating Ganon inEchoes of Wisdom, which is part of the Still Missing quest that has Zelda working to save her father. After fighting Ganon, Zelda can head to her bedroom and learn to summon her own bed as an Echo. Once acquired, Zelda can perform a fun trick byusing tornadoes to launch her bed in the air to travel long distancesquickly, or to reach higher areas without having to build a bed staircase.

There are a ton of Echoes that Zelda can pick up during her journey to save Hyrule, but the bed has emerged as the most overpowered among them. However, since the bed is being used in ways that might not have been intended, and the bed lets Zelda skip most puzzles, there’s some concern in the community that it might be changed in a patch to make it a bit less useful. For now, it’s a trick that still works, so don’t forget to pick up the bed and use it as an Echo throughoutThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
