15 Rarest Overwatch Skins You’ll Probably Never Own

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the game is expressing one’s style through unique cosmetics, but the rarest skins in Overwatch 2 take the cake.

Although it’ll likely be some time before its end date is revealed, we can predict when Season 15 might come to a close based on past seasons. EachOverwatch 2season typically lasts a little over two months, soSeason 15 will probably last through mid-late April, at which point Season 16 will debut.

Overwatch 2 Season 15’s New Hero Trial

What To Expect From Freja

Overwatch 2’s fifteenth season will allow players totest out its 43rd hero, Freja. Although Freja won’t officially debut in the game until Season 16 in April, she’ll be temporarily available during a hero trial weekend sometime in Season 15, as is tradition.

Lore-wise, Freja is introduced as a former search-and-rescue operative who now works as a bounty hunter. Based on her name and the snowy settings she’s usually depicted in, Freja is clearly sporting some kind of Nordic theming. She appears to be a highly mobile damage hero, who dashes around the battlefield and traps enemies before sending them on their way with an explosive crossbow. Her abilities are listed below:

These moves may be subject to change after Freja’s hero trial period. No date or time for Freja’s trial has yet to be revealed, but it is known to be coming sometime this season; keep an eye onOverwatch 2’s social media channels and official blog for more details as they come.

Loot Boxes & Perks In Overwatch 2 Season 15

How Perks Work & Loot Box Changes

Season 15 marks the introduction of a new mechanic and the return of an old one:perks and loot boxes, respectively. Perks work inOverwatch 2exactly like they work in any other game: they provide options to customize playstyles by altering their character’s stats, granting them a bonus to one particular aspect of their moveset.

Players will be given two opportunities in every match to choose a perk -one Minor Perk, and one Major Perk. It’s unclear whether these will be tied to an experience point system, or something more consistent like match time remaining or objective progress. Minor Perks will represent smaller changes to how the character works - maybe granting them a stat boost, or decreasing the cooldown of one of their moves. Major Perks, on the other hand, may completely change how the hero’s abilities work.

Marvel Rivals Is Following League Of Legends' Model, Rather Than Overwatch, And That’s A Good Thing

Marvel Rivals is adding heroes much faster than other hero shooters, and it might end up with a roster similar to MOBAs like League of Legends.

A few perks have already been confirmedfor Season 15. In the example given above, Orisa can choose between turning her Javelin Spin into a more traditional barrier shield, or gaining the ability to charge her Energy Javelin strikes in order to increase their speed and knockback potential and, if fully charged, pierce through enemies. (It’s not clear whether these are Major or Minor, but they certainly sound Major.)

These perks are subject to change in Season 15 and beyond.

Torbjorn’s Minor Perkseither allow his Forge Hammer to restore his teammates' armor, or refill his Rivet Gun ammo when he uses Overload. His Major Perks either allow him to stick his turret to walls or ceilings, or allow him to charge his turret up to level 3 when he uses Overload.

Although they were initially left out of the sequel, loot boxes will make their return toOverwatchstarting in Season 15. Anyone who played the originalOverwatchknows how these work: every loot box contains a random assortment of cosmetic items. They’re rewarded for completing weekly and event challenges. For now, there will be two types of loot boxes - regular and legendary. Here are the item drop rates for both.
