Though it isn’t clear how the show will fit into James Gunn’sDC Universe, the John Cena-led series is moving forward with a new season.Peacemakerseason 2will carry over from the DCEU movie timeline into the new DC Universe continuity, making it one of many upcoming shows. While it was known that the show would return sometime in 2025, specific details have been kept under wraps until now. Beyond Cena, the series stars Jennifer Holland, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, and Steve Agee.
During a preview event for Max and HBO (viaIGN), CEO and Chairman Casey Bloys revealed thatPeacemakerseason 2 will premiere in August 2025. An exact premiere date will be revealed at a later time. The series was recently featured in an HBO/Max sizzle reel showing off their 2025 slate.
