This year the Harvest Festival runs fromThursday 7 November 10am local time until Tuesday 12 November 8pm local time. It gives trainers other incentives to play alongside the current toughMax Battle Dynamax Pokémonthat you can take on with friends.
The Harvest Festival 2024 focuses on certain Pokémon which are themed around farming and plants, such as Miltank and Sunkern. While not one of the major events in the calendar, it offers trainers the opportunity to catch some Shiny variations of Pokémon which rarely spawn, as well as candy boosts which can help you with evolutions.
Increased Spawns During Harvest Festival 2024
12 Pokémon With Increased Spawn Rates
One of the biggest incentives to play thePokémon GOHarvest Festival 2024 is the increased spawns of 12 specific Pokémon, many of which don’t regularly spawn in the game. Two Generation One favorites lead the way, inOddish and Exeggcute.Three Pokémon from Gen 2 are also featured,Hoppip, Sunkern, and the rare powerful Miltank. In addition,Zigzagoon, Bunnelby, Smoliv, and all four size forms of Pumpkaboowill spawn more than normal.
Other Pokémon will appear during the event, but the 12 featured will spawn more commonly.
In addition to their normal versions spawning during Harvest Festival 2024, all the 12 featured Pokémon can be found in their Shiny version. This includesShiny Smoliv, which is making its debut inPokémon GO, so it is one all trainers will be looking to capture. The Shiny versions are much harder to find for all the Pokémon, but if you quickly check every one that you see, you increase your chances of catching one during the event. In addition, there is an increased chance to encounter Shiny Pumpkaboo over the six days.

There are further benefits for those taking part in Harvest Festival 2024 this year. This includes2x catch candy for any Pokémonthat you can successfully keep inside a Pokeball. It is alsoworth using Mossy Lure Modules, during the event, as it will attract different Pokémon than normal, including Alolan Exeggutor, Snorlax, Pumpkaboo, and Smoliv. While Pumpkaboo didrecently feature in the Halloween events, it has an even greater chance of spawning during the Harvest Festival.

By being aware of the 11 different types of Pokémon that can be a Ditto in disguise, you give yourself the best chance of catching one in Pokémon GO.
There are also additional ways to guarantee further encounters with Pumpkaboo and Smoliv. Various field research tasks require players to complete challenges such as catching so many Pokémon, or spinning so many Pokéstops, that will give players the chance to catch the featured event Pokémon.Players can also purchase the paid timed research, which will offer further challenges to complete.
