New Pokémon TCG: Supercharged Breaker Combo Allows Swapping Opponent’s Cards

The Combo Involves The Usage Of Three Cards

Three new cards forSupercharged Breakerwere revealed, as seen onPokébeach. Espurr and Meowstic compose the two Pokémon cards, whereas Relaxing Teaser is a Trainer card – and they are intertwined. Meowstic’s Ability is called Tempting Tail and it allows players, once per turn, todiscard a Relaxing Teaser card from their hand to switch one of the opponent’s Benched Pokémon to the Active Spot. This is, essentially, the same effect made available through the Boss’s Orders card inPokémon TCG, though instead of playing Boss’s Orders, players will discard the Relaxing Teaser Trainer card.

When played and not discarded via Meowstic’s Ability, Relaxing Teaser puts one Energy card attached to an opponent’s Pokémon back into their hand.

Pokémon TCG: Supercharged Breaker Card Combo May Substitute Boss’s Orders

Boss’s Orders Does Not Have A Reprint In The Foreseeable Future

With no reprint of Boss’s Orders foreseen on the horizon, the main fear right now is that the vital Trainer card will eventually leave rotation and be banned from Standard if a reprint is not issued in an upcoming set. This would significantly impact a lot of decks due to how important it is in controlling opponents’ actions. The effect, however, seems like it will not be discarded completely. Nonetheless, players will have to build their decks differently to accommodate both the Meowstic evolutionary line and copies of Relaxing Teaser fromSupercharged BreakerorSurging SparksinPokémon TCG.

The Pokémon TCG is celebrating Halloween with its festive Trick or Trade BOOster Bundles. These are the rarest cards of this special holiday set.

The downside of the substitution of Boss’s Orders for the card combo fromSupercharged Breakeris that players would have to sacrifice deck space since the action alone needs three different cards instead of a single Trainer card. Of course, Boss’s Orders could be reprinted in any of the next few sets, but, for now, it seems like the new card combo fromSupercharged BreakerforPokémon TCGwill be a substitute for swapping opponents’ Active Pokémon, even if a troublesome one to play when compared to the current method.
