2024 is rapidly coming to a close and soon enough, the new year will be here. Ahead of January, DC Comics has provided a look at its upcoming offerings with its latest batch of solicitations, including what is being billed as a “fresh start” for Power Girl.
As the solicitation reveals,Power Girl is getting anew look for 2025. The outfit slightly updates her classic look with a gold belt, no sleeves, and longer blue gloves and boots. The infamous chest window remains, butPower Girl’s top has been altered so that it’s shaped exactly like Superman’s family crest.

She might not have the obvious ‘S’, but that shape is immediately recognizable to anyone even slightly familiar with the notorious symbol. Not only is it an interesting switch-up to the hero’s costume,it gives Power Girl a strong connection to Superman’s family.

This costume update is a great way of keeping one of the most notable aspects of her outfit while reaffirming that despite her not being from the Prime Earth, Power Girlisa member of Superman’s family. While previous costume changes have tried to modify or even ditch the window, it’s too recognizable to get rid of.
