Black Panther’s New Costume Might Be His Coolest Design of All Time
Marvel’s upcoming Predator vs. Black Panther crossover comes with a new suit for the titular hero as he faces the galaxy’s most dangeorus hunter.
The Yautja Prince Isn’t the Only Modified Predator
Artificially Augmented Predators Make For Cooler Stories
While thePredatorfranchise has a disjunct collection of canon, especially within the Marvel crossover series, the prince isn’t the first Yautja to have cybernetically modified its bodyto gain an advantage. The NECA series ofPredatortoys released a clan of rogue Yautja that all employed mechanical augmentations into their bodies, and thePredator: Hunting Groundsvideo game featured a playable Bionic Predator character. The code and creed of the Yautja speciestend to vary between clans and interpretations of the code can be especially subjective.
Artificially enhanced Predators, whether it be through cybernetics or genetic manipulation, are a rarity among the species and always make for a unique read whenever they show up. The Yautja prince, adorned with a robotic leg and implanted wrist blades, is an especially interesting character before even considering the crossover series he debuts in. Seemingly breaking away from tradition to restore his honor, this royalPredatormay become an unstoppable force if, or when, he gets his hands on the awe-inducingpowers of Wakanda’s vibranium.
