However, it will usher in a new age for the franchise withKarate Kid: Legends, which will feature Macchio reprising his role as Daniel, who joins Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) in training a new prodigy, Li (Ben Wang).
Speaking withScreenRantat the Saturn Awards,Cobra Kai’s Xolo Maridueña, who portrays Miguel Diaz, explained thatKarate Kid: Legendsis mostly focused on the events that happen after the Netflix TV show. While he didn’t directly state he wouldn’t be showing up, he did indicate Macchio is the only major thread between both projects that keeps them connected.
