A newCaptain America: Brave New Worldtrailer has been released, teasing the next upcomingMarvel Cinematic Universemovie. With more than 10 years in the franchise, Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson is finally getting his own solo MCU movie after accepting the shield from Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) at the end ofAvengers: Endgame. The firstCaptain America: Brave New Worldtrailerteased a political thriller and superhero action/adventure movie akin toCaptain America: The Winter Soldier, and the latest footage continues that tone.
At D23 Brazil this weekend,Marvel Studiosreleased the official trailer forCaptain America: Brave New World, which features a proper, extended look at Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk as he faces off against Sam Wilson’s Captain America. The footage also reveals even more of Mackie’s new Captain America costume, which features a retractable helmet much like the Avengers' Quantum suits inEndgame. Check out the trailer below.

What The Captain America: Brave New World Trailer Reveals
Harrison Ford Becomes Red Hulk And Faces Off Against Captain America
The new trailer reveals a little bit more about theCaptain America: Brave New Worldstory, which has to do with Ford’s President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and the assassination attempt carried out by Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly). It’s clear from the various bits of dialogue in the footage thatthe United States is on the brink of war, though what war that is remains to be seen. Based on the trailer, it clearly has something to do with the Celestial hand emerging from the sea - a remnant from theending ofEternals.
As confirmed at SDCC over the summer, theCelestial will be made of adamantium. AfterBlack Panther: Wakanda Foreversaw Wakanda fighting back against foreign powers that sought to steal their vibranium, it seems likely thatthe U.S. has turned its sights to the adamantium that could give them an edge of powerover the rest of the world. This, of course, leads to the fighting seen near the Celestial hand in the trailer.

However, it remains to be seen how Ford’s Red Hulk persona fits into the storyline. It’s possible that he’s made into a Hulk to protect him following the assassination attempt, though it’s also been speculated to have something to do with the returning Marvel character, The Leader. There’s alsoGiancarlo Esposito’s Sidewinderto contend with, as he features in the trailer seemingly taunting Captain America. Although the trailer reveals more footage, there’s clearly plenty more about the movie left to be uncovered.
Our Take On The Captain America: Brave New World Trailer
It Looks Like Something Completely New
When the first trailer released,Captain America: Brave New Worldwas compared toCaptain America: The Winter Soldier, seemingly because of its political thriller themes. However, there’s a lot more epic superhero action inBrave New World, as we see in this full trailer. Between the flying fight scenes near the Celestial hand and Sam Wilson cutting an exploding car in half with his suit’s wings, the action scenes aren’t quite as grounded as they were inThe Winter Soldier, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It might be tricky to pull off the balance, but ifCaptain America: Brave New Worldcan manage it, it could be another hugely successful MCU movie.
