PerDeadline, aRugratslive-action hybrid film is now in development. Jason Moore has signed on to direct the live-actionRugratsmovie. It will co-written bySaturday Night Livewriters Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell. The project is in early development, as there are not yet producers attached to the film. The release date and plot details have yet to be revealed for theRugratsmovie.

Hearing the news of the live-actionRugratsmovie, I am left with questioning how this is going to be cast?The main characters are all toddlers, but in the original series, they are voiced by adults. Good toddler actors are hard to come by, let alone multiple good toddler actors. As the movie is taking a live-action hybrid approach, voice actors and a mix of CGI seem the most likely. As theRugratsmovie continues development, this casting will be what most intrigues me about the film.
