Konami’sSilent Hill 2 Remakereturns to the Lakeview Hotel, where you’ll find a Music Box with a puzzle inside. With three figurines found throughout the hotel, you can find a solution to the box’s puzzle, which begins with opening it. Luckily, you won’t need to stray too far from the lobby to find the key.
In order to get the hotel’s Music Box open, you’ll first need to get your hands on two keys: theOrnamental Keyand theRoom 312 Key. Both can be found along the back wall of the Check-In Room on floor 1F. Use the keys to unlock the box, and you’ll find three empty platforms inside, signaling the start of a lengthy puzzle to solve as you investigate the hotel.

Find Three Figurines In The Lakeview Hotel
The Music Box puzzle inSilent Hill 2 Remake’sLakeview Hotel requires three figurines:
According toPushSquare, you can pick up all three items you need as you explore new rooms and find solutions to interlinked puzzles within the hotel. However, locating these items is just half the battle. Once you find all three, you’ll need to place them properly within the box and figure out the solution of thepuzzle inSilent Hill 2.
This guide is for theStandarddifficulty settings. Other difficulty settings may result in other solutions.
Where To Find The Snow White Figurine
You can obtain the Snow White Figurine by completing theMirror Puzzle in Room 202. To do this, you’ll need to collect and place the broken Mirror Shards inside the fragmented frame. Fortunately, this puzzle is quite literal; you’ll need to find where each piece fits to complete the mirror. Place the Ripe Apple in the fruit bowl on the table as well, then head toRoom 201to find the missing figurine on a small, circular table.
The mirror will be missing one shard on top of the bed in the connected room.
Where To Find The Cinderella Figurine
The Cinderella Figurine is locked inside the Fireplace in the hotel’sConference Roomon floor 3F. Unlocking this space will require two keys in itself:the key to Room 207 and the Fireplace Key. you may also find the former inside the Conference Room, but you’ll have to search further for the latter.

Head toRoom 207with the key you have on hand and continue outside to the gazebo in theGardenarea. This is where you’ll find the Fireplace Key. Take it back to the Conference Room inside to unlock the Fireplace and obtain the Cinderella Figurine.

Where To Find The Little Mermaid Figurine
The Little Mermaid Figurine is found at theVenus Tears Bar, located in the basement of the Lakeview Hotel. It’s on the floor just in front of the jukebox by the wall. While the item is easy to retrieve here, you’ll have toplace your items in a Cabinet and work through the Employee Sectionbefore accessing the barroom. This will leave you defenseless as you investigate the new area, utilizing Pump Valves to clear doorways and get around.
Music Box Puzzle Solution & Rewards
Set The Figures On The Right Path
Once you’ve found all three of the missing figures at the Lakeview Hotel inSilent Hill 2 Remake, you’ll have everything you need to find the solution to the Music Box puzzle in the lobby. Inside the box, there are three platforms to place the items. You’re barred from setting them in the wrong spots, so you’ll just need tocycle through your inventory to place each figurine.
Hit the button in the bottom-right corner to test run the Music Box and see if you have the figurines' paths set up properly.
From there, shift your attention to the three overlapping plates in the center of the Music Box. Each one islined with tracks for the figures to follow, and your next task is toline them up correctly. This can be rather tricky, as some tracks have dead ends and don’t seem to connect to others. Reference the screenshot above to find the correct placement for each plate.
With the plates lined up, you’ll need toadjust each keyon the front of the box. While this requires you to turn each one several times, you must alsoensure the keys face the right direction. Again, double-check the screenshot in the above image gallery to see the correct critical placement. Find how many times to turn each key below:

If you make a mistake whileplayingSilent Hill 2 Remakeand while turning the keys, be sure to reset them. you may activate the Music Box once you’ve completed the puzzle. This will set the figurines in motion, giving way to the 3F Corridor Key as your reward and opening a new door to the Lakeview Hotel inSilent Hill 2 Remake.
