InThe Spectacular Spider-Men#6 by Greg Weisman and Humberto Ramos,Peter Parker and Miles Morales are trapped inside a simulated realitycontrolled by Arcade and Mentallo known as Arcadium. They are stuck in there with Hammerhead, who used the high-tech of this place to summon robotic versions of some of the most dangerous street-level villains. While they certainly made the Spider-Men work for it, the two web-heads ended up coming out on top. That is, until another super-villain showed up: K.N.A.I.V.E.
K.N.A.I.V.E. is the combination of Miles Warren (the original Jackal) and the AI consciousness that’s powering the Arcadium. They were on the precipice of being deleted by Arcade and Mentallo along with the whole Arcadium system after Hammerhead was defeated by the Spider-Men. Obviously, Warren and the AI couldn’t let that happen, so they combined their forms into a new physical body, and just by the sight of them, K.N.A.I.V.E. looks like one of the most intimidating threats Spider-Man has ever faced.

Why K.N.A.I.V.E. is Considered One of Spider-Man’s Most Powerful Villains
While just the sight of K.N.A.I.V.E. alone gives the impression that they’re insanely powerful, readers can base that assertion on more concrete evidence than that. The reason K.N.A.I.V.E. is considered so terrifyingly powerful is rooted in the nature of their existence - specifically, the part of them that’s the Arcadium AI. The AI is a combination of a multitude of other AI systems in the Marvel Universe, including from Stark International, Beyond Corporation, Oscorp, the Baxter Building, Roxxon, A.I.M., Hydra, and even the X-Men’s Danger Room.
The most advanced AI systems in Marvel Comics history have all evolved into one Super Artificial Intelligence, and that has just taken physical form as K.N.A.I.V.E., using robotic and synthesized organic methods to bring itself to life. There’s no telling what this villain is capable of, but based on the AI systems that helped create them, it’s safe to say that this rogue will easily be one of Spider-Man’s toughest to beat.
K.N.A.I.V.E. Can Defeat Spider-Man with Just 1 of Their Confirmed Powers: Telepathy
As revealed to Miles Warren, the AI system behind K.N.A.I.V.E. isn’t just a machine, it also has the power of telepathy. Before merging with Warren to become K.N.A.I.V.E., the AI used its telepathic powers to enter the minds of those that were trapped in the Arcadium to craft worlds specifically for them. As K.N.A.I.V.E., this AI still has telepathy, which means they can presumably take down Spider-Man with a telepathic attack (something he’s vulnerable to) before finishing him off once and for all.
While it remains to be seen if K.N.A.I.V.E. will even remain as a lasting villain for Spider-Man - let alone if K.N.A.I.V.E. will prove powerful enough to defeat two wall-crawlers - the nature of their existence confirms that K.N.A.I.V.E. is immensely powerful. They are a combination of classic Spider-Man villain, the Jackal, and the evolved form of practically every powerful AI system in Marvel Comics, meaning it’s safe to say that K.N.A.I.V.E. might beSpider-Man’s most powerful villain of all time.
