A new clip about the titles coming to Netflix in 2025 includes a teaser for the highly anticipatedStranger Thingsseason 5, which reveals a major story twist about Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). SinceStranger Thingsseason 4’s endingin July 2022, Netflix has been tight-lipped about what can be expected from the show’s fifth and final season. After some teases regarding season 5’s episode titles and a few behind-the-scenes cast photos and clips,Netflix is giving its biggest reveals yet aboutStranger Thingsseason 5’s plot in the streaming service’s latest 2025 release montage teaser.
About 15 seconds in the Netflix teaser, a woman begins to levitate, similar to Max when possessed by Vecna inStranger Thingsseason 4, and is transported into the vine-laden Upside Down. As a Demogorgon appears from the office’s walls, the camera pans over a WSQK mug (Hawkins’ radio station in season 5) andnumerous “Missing Teen” posters with none other than Jane Hopper’s name and face plastered on them. Though the teaser’s main subject is an actor who finds herself in Netflix’s big upcoming titles, the missing posters are presumably still tied toStranger Thingsseason 5’s real story.

New Stranger Things Season 5 Teaser Reveals Eleven Goes “Missing”
Netflix’s Stranger Things Teaser Includes Missing Posters Of Jane Hopper
The posters that are scattered around the desk in Netflix’s briefStranger Thingsteaser indicate that Eleven/Jane Hopper goes missing in season 5. The picture of Eleven that’s used on the missing poster is from when she was apprehended and booked by police inStranger Thingsseason 4 for hitting Angela with a roller skate. The posters also include a note about a reward being offered if Jane Hopper is found, with the area code of the listed phone number (fictionally) being for Hawkins.
Since Eleven was back with the Byers family, Wheeler family, and Jim Hopper in Hawkins duringStranger Thingsseason 4’s final moments, Millie Bobby Brown’s character going “missing” comes as a surprise. It’s possible that she’s not truly “missing” and is instead hiding from the U.S. government, with the poster being made by the military officials who were tracking her down in connection to Hawkins’ murders in season 4. Or, Eleven might have potentially gone “missing” in the Upside Down similar to Will Byers in season 1, leading her family and friends to attempt to find her.

Eleven’s Missing Posters Could Solve A Stranger Things Season 5 Episode Title Mystery
Is Jane Hopper The Name Missing From Stranger Things' “The Vanishing Of…” Title?
Eleven going missing could be connected to the most mysteriousepisode title inStranger Thingsseason 5. When the titles for the upcoming installments were released, there was one that was partially masked:Stranger Thingsseason 5, episode 2, “The Vanishing of…” The name is blurred, however, indicating that whoever goes missing in season 5 will be a major character with huge importance to the plot. The title is meant to repeat the show’s pilot episode, “Chapter One: The Vanishing of Will Byers,” with Will Byers now potentially being replaced by Jane Hopper.
Stranger Thingsseason 5 has still yet to receive an official release date in 2025 from Netflix.
Initial theories speculated that theperson “vanishing” inStranger Thingsseason 5 would be Hollyor Nancy Wheeler. Some behind-the-scenes clips and photos have seen Mike and Nancy’s younger sister,Holly, riding bikes and seemingly having some connections to the Upside Down, which would make the most sense for her disappearancerepeating that of Will in season 1. However, the missing posters for Jane Hopper in Netflix’s new teaser hint otherwise, suggesting either just Eleven or both characters might go missing inStranger Thingsseason 5.
