As announced in a short trailer onHello Games' YouTube channel,a newNo Man’s Skyupdatealso implements cross-save, allowing players to share progress across different platforms by connecting their accounts to theNo Man’s Skywebsite. The included platforms are PlayStation, Steam, Xbox, Nintendo, and GOG, although Nintendo is currently listed as “coming soon.” Notably, linking accounts will also enable Twitch Drops forNo Man’s Sky, allowing players to receive extra rewards for watching streams of the game.

As shown in the trailer and detailed on the website,No Man’s Sky’s cross-save feature will work by allowing players to upload their saves to cloud storage, which can hold a maximum of five saves per player.
Once the saves have been uploaded, players can then download them to local storageon any platform where they’ve linked their account, allowing them to transfer progress from one platform to another. Currently, as per the website’s FAQ,the feature is in beta, and will only be made available to a limited number of players, with more slots to open up later.
